The first time I did this it really jacked my computer up...thank god for system restore.

But do you un install the drivers through device manager or through add/remove programs?

Or do you cats have a link for some directions so I dont jack my computer up again?

What I usually do when I uninstall video drivers is go into add remove programs and uninstall all the drivers associated with the video card.  When you are finished it will probably as you to reboot the computer(DON'T). After you uninstall through add/remove go into programs and see if it is listed there as well and uninstall it from there also.  Then after is says reboot go ahead/if it doesn't say reboot go ahead and reboot anyways.  After the computer reboots it is gonna try to reinstall the same driver it had before because it is saved in the registry.  When it comes up with trying to install it hit the cancel button and don't reinstall it. It will probably give you some error like it is running in vga mode because there is no video driver installed(that's ok) it's not ruined.  After you get to this point, install the new driver you want to install(ie..new detonator drivers from Nvidia).  It will probably tell you to reboot after you install all the new drivers.  Also you will need to set back up your desktop resolution etc..That's the way I have always uninstalled video drivers and reinstalled them.

    Hope this helps.

P.S. Sometimes I have had to uninstall them through device manager as well if it keeps reinstalling the same driver even though you have uninstalled it.

Tell me if this makes sense. After the first time I uninstalled Nvidia drivers I had a ton like 50 boxes pop up and I hit ok for them all. After I was done there was no way to connect to the internet. I called customer support for that and they said I some how got rid of some components for windows. How in the heck can that happend uninstalling video drivers lol?
