Appropriate computer specs for EQ2

I run a P4 2.4, GForce4 4200ti with 64 megs RAM, and 1 gig of system RAM.  Game setup defaulted me to "high performance".

On that setting, the game has run flawlessly for days, with only a very minimal amount of lag in highly crowded areas ... far less, e.g., than current POK in EQ.

I tried bumping the setting up to "balanced".  This added more detail to what was already an excellent look, and did not seem to add discernable lag.  Psychologically, I figure there must be less lag with "high performance", and it looks great, so I use that mostly in the crowded city areas.

I then bumped it up to "high quality".  This added a tiny amount of additional lag, and seemed to add some detail and extend the clipping plane.  I now use this setting in less demanding zones.

"Extreme" quality is the highest setting.  I did not try it.  I assume my system is insufficient.  "Extreme" performance is the lowest setting.  I did try that. It removes some detail, but the graphics still look very good, and there is no lag whatsoever.

I have not played with individual graphic settings because there has been no need.  I'm sure at some point I will, but at this time I'm having too much fun playing to mess around with it.
