So... With pistols I decided to try out CoX again. So, bought the preorder.. put myself up for a few months... Installed it and played for a while... Now the updater is completly broken. Yay! It is so broken, and stops working so fast, it will be impossible to get any update or fixes to the updater so they can fix it. There is of course a thread on it in the forums. With a bait and switch tactic they say should work.... Which it doesn't for a loooot of people. So...
REALLY good time to try and get people to play again. They pay a month and can play for 3 hours... then they have to reinstall the whole game, update the whole game and MAYBE play another 3 hours ( did one reinstallation, and it was broken from scratch) seriously.... Bugs in game... that can be forgiven... That you can not even start the updater and start the game, without a working fix and no sollution in the near future at all?!
Give me my flipping money back. Oh right.... my handle and password do not work in your forums, I can't tell you.

Why don't you take a moment to breathe....
First -- your ncsoft account and password is not used to log into the game nor the boards. Use your game account and password to do this. If it's still not working, talk to support: http://help.ncsoft.com/cgi-bin/ncsoft.cfg/php/enduser/ask.php
Second -- apparently the new updater is problematic for the European players, which I see you are one, being from Sweden. The thread you referred to that the players are discussing this in is here: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=211195.
Third -- "bait and switch"? I really don't think you understand what that means. A solution that appears to be working for the moment is to rename a file. That's not bait and switch.
Fourth -- it's a bummer that you've run into some issues but (and forgive me for being frank), are you here to complain or get a solution? The game is going on 6 years old with a playerbase that is mostly not experiencing this and a team that doesn't really let bugs linger....the timing is bad for you but it will be addressed.
Fifth -- Although you haven't been real specific about anything regarding the technical issues, the solution that seems to be working is just getting a replacement updater (http://download.cityofheroes.com/EU/CoH_EU_Setup.exe) If that doesn't work, try contacting tech support directly http://help.ncsoft.com/cgi-bin/ncsoft.cfg/php/enduser/ask.php
