Why I love Icarus Studios - They Gave me a Cookie.

jamigrejamigre Member UncommonPosts: 280

So here it is, a while back I submit a bug, and at the end of it all i write as a joke, "Can I get a cookie?" Log into my MMO Email account today to see if I recieved any new stuff.  And lo and behold, Icarus studios writes back, says that the bug's been fixed, and - I get a cookie. Image attached.

I've never, ever, ever, seen any company be this cool to it's subscribers /  community, they're wonderful, and really give a rats behind about this game. Go FE

I was also very pleased with how interactive the devs were during beta.  Every bug I submitted was responded to in person and even lead to a few conversations for more information.

see, and that's it, that's why I fell in luv, with this game. I tried it, was fun, etc... etc... but they actually care what we think, they work with us.

Look, I dont work for these guys, was in beta and dropped it, in fact I haven't liked a mmo since UO, and then SWG kept my attention for a while...

.... but with FE... it's not a passing by thing... I think when I can try and log in, thing when I can play... I just enjoy this effin game, and that's something to be said, because as MMO's go, I'm a very very fickle individual.

And this cookie, Tre Coole - Tre Coole <- find me in game.

edit: if nonsensical = kinda boozed up.

    Very nice.

Icarus is a great studio, it's the little extra's like this that really set them apart from other developers. It might seem trivial to some people but it speaks volumes about how deeply they care about there playerbase and the game itself.

    Thanks for posting this :)

    Thats pretty awsome.

When i finished the tutorial i somehow ended up in limbo unable to load into the town selection area, i asked in group chat how to get out as i was stuck 2 seconds later a GM was there and teleported me out. very quick and helpful GM support tbh.

To be honest, I think that's why I'm enjoying the game so much myself.  It isn't because I'm really wowed by the gameplay but because the gms and devs seem so into the game and communicative with the community.

It's such a nice breath of fresh air considering the route the majority of mmo companies are going these days.  They got me hooked.

    1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.

    2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.

    3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.
