Why shoulod i even bother?

Why should i even bother trying this game out? I have trial account and i need some help but gues what. I cant login to the forums with a  trial account at all. If i try that it gives me a blank page with no forum parts at all. http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a343/Exstaz/Untitled-6.png

So how is a new player that are in search for some help supposed to get it? I cant search cause i cant login, I need some basic help but gues what its so stupid that i will have to pay to find my answers and by forcing me to do that they might loose a potential customer. Is it just me that thinks its stupid? All i want is search for some information on their forums so i can continue to try the game out. But obviusley im not supposed to do that, maby its cause i will the figure out thats its a piece of crap?

Why cant i shop down trees, i have the skill but cant cut down or target trees why not?

I thought a clearic usualy wouldnt have problems soloing in the begining of games but gues in this one a clearic need group from start because everything and i mean everything rapes me as a blood mage.

 

I have tons more simple questions like this that the game dont help me with so how THE FUCK are im supposed to find this info if i cant sue their forum?

I wouldnt waste my time with it. VG is being maintained by a skeleton crew and I doubt you will ever see any new content released again.

Well considering their idiotic way of handling new players not ebing able to even search their forum yes i dont think i will.

 

Their other game SWG you have full acces to the forum BUT you are only allowed to post in the cantina for enw players for soem time. But you have ful lacces to read the forum and search. You can acctualy search even if not loged in. Not like the idiot forum for vanguard.

I just went to the Vanguard forums, didn't login and I was able to see them and did a search in the light fighter forum with no problems.

I was not able to post mind you but the search function worked fine.

b/c it's a game and is fun to play until you get to lvl 50. After that, its a stupid waste of time due to minimal resources put on the game by SOE.  The whole game is on life support and zero raid content will be added in the Road to Nowhere, which has caused many to leave.

Try /ooc or the forums.  /ooc is probably your best bet though.  I'm sure there are people who will be able to help and are also on IoD.  There are many, many people who make alts on IoD , so Im sure some vets can help.  Also, what server are you on?  I suggest Seradon or Xeth, but really Seradon b/c its my old server.

I didnt have an DE, but iirc, the DE racial is a group buff which should show up as a 10 sec? counter on your beneficial effects bar (buff bar) in the UI.

Maybe some later abilities will allow you to use vials of blood.  One rule of VG, never throw anything out, b/c eventually you may need it.

IIRC, go to an assembly table and then choose the crafting/assemble tab in your abilities book.  It should have a recipe which allows you to attach the nails to the tool.

Only certain nodes are trees you can chop down.  You cant chop every single tree in the game down.  Youll need to look for nodes called Weakened XXX tree, where the XXX is continent specific.  Since youre on IoD, its only going to be T1 - Weakened Wood. 
I thought a clearic usualy wouldnt have problems soloing in the begining of games but gues in this one a clearic need group from start because everything and i mean everything rapes me as a blood mage.
 Well, i heard bmgs are pretty easy to solo.  Just try to avoid getting hit, i guess.  If you dont like the bmg, try another class.

The forum is accessible for anyone.  I'm not a subscriber anymore, but I check in from time to time.  not sure what is happening with you on this, but its up and rolling. forums.station.sony.com/vg/forums/list.m
The forums may be sparce when it comes to newbie stuff, so until you get a sub, you wont be able to post to ask questions.  Once you get to the mainland (i.e. sub), you can ask in /ooc on the main continents and will probably get quick answers.

It'll probably be one of the best PvE game you will ever play. Only bad thing is there not being enough players in the game.

There are 3 main chat channels. First its the world (continent chat IE Thestra, Qalia, and Kojan) Then there's an Auction channel and Last theres a craft channel (you will have to manually join it by going to your options tab, or simply type /join craft). To chat simply type /1 or /2 or /3 then your message. 1 = Continent 2 = Auction 3 = Craft

DE's have one of the best racial ability, for starters MELEE type classes get the dragon pet summon ability which grows in size every tier level (every 10 or 11 of your level, IE Teir 1 = level 1, Tier 2 = 11, Teir 3 = 21, Tier 4 = 31, and Tier 5 = 41. And the caster types get the racial buff like the other guy said.

BM's are argueably number 1 or 2 compared between the 4 healing classes. Because the way they work is healing players while doing massive damage to the monster or drain your own HP to heal party members. So they are great at doing DPS and can do quick and big heals. Only bad thing is while doing that they draw much more aggro than the other healing classes. I haven't actually played one myself, but the vials you have is used for buffs or something.

If you can't find the "special" recipe in your refining or finishing tabs then it'll most likely be in your assembly tab.

After you reach level 10+ as you gain experience points every 1/5 of your exp bar you'll attain 2 attribute points for a total of 10 attribute points per level (might have been 8 or 1/4 I honestly can't remember) Depending on your class you'll want to focus mainly on 2 stats. As a Bloodmage you would want to put most on your Wisdom = mana and Vitality = mana regen + normal run speed.

Yes since you're on the IoD you're basically stuck with doing Tier 1 stuff. For trees it might be difficult to know what you can and can't cut down because they are pretty tall. A simple way to know is if you change your camera view and check if the trees have names on em like the guy above said. Those are the harvestable trees, so if you dont see a name above the trees you won't be able to harvest them.

What you wanna do is stay MAX spell range which should be about 15m or so. Start with a slow movement debuff if you have one, then start moving backwards while you're casting you next spells to get the most damage done before they reach you. You're a healing class, it should be almost impossible to die unless they gang up on you. The only downside to being a BM is only being able to wear cloth type armor. As the other healing classes can wear medium or chain (Shaman and Disciple) and plate (Cleric)

I also didn't have any trouble getting into the forums. Logging in using your game user ID and password should be it. As far as I know you don't have to pay to access the forums. To the OP: from your post I have to assume you tried browsing the forum INSIDE THE GAME which is a stupid thing to try because the ingame browser sucks big time.
