Any Big MMORPG's Coming?

(Im new here so don't yell at me if I am asking the most retarded question, thanks)

I have friends that play WoW, and I used to play, and I just recently purchased all new parts and built a new computer which runs WoW at 60 fps max settings. I tested it on a private server real quick since I didn't want to pay for a month just to test that out.

Anyways. I played for a while on the private server and I was like...I don't really know if I even wanna play this anymore.

Are there any big MMORPG's like WoW that are going to come out soon? Soon could really mean anything but you know what I mean. I know Guild Wars 2 is coming out, but then again I don't know how big that will be, I never played the first one it, but it seemed to be popular maybe due to the one time fee to buy the game.

Edit: Or anything that is newish that is actually worth playing. I kinda like the fact of being a player from the start of a game. I played WoW back in 2006 when it was still fairly new, and I liked that.

I have found that a lot of people feel that the MMO industry is in a drought

If you came from console gaming, yes WOW might see amazing, but if you played FFXI,you would realize it has more content and a much better structure to the entire game.FFXI is a huge game,as far as any NEW big gam,es coming out,yes FFXIV and TERA.Darkfall is sort of biggish and so is Mortal online, but both of those games are strictly PVP and very little content. You will also travel miles without seeing anything in those two PVP games.

Vanguard is a HUGE game with the best view distance of any game,so great graphics and identical game play as WOW or EQ/EQ2.IDK what more to say, most of the known gam are rather big continents ,like LOTR,AOC ect ect.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

I dont agree about running for miles and not seeing anything in Darkfall. I found it to be a really fun game to explore. Lots of interesting landscapes and dungeons. The destroyed cities, underwater cities, boats and huge land mass was just awesome. That and I didnt feel like I could go any where without seeing another character and having to watch my behind.

My advice to the OP is FFXIV, sounds to me like they are dumbing it down.... not that I mean that against you, but I think they want the WoW audience.

The next "big"  MMO will probably be SW:TOR.

Other than that,  potentials are the TES MMO that we have no information on but wtf.. its TES..    and blizzards still working on their next big thing.

And what is that, WoW 2? I don't think so.

Anyways..I'm not really sure what to play but if I play anything other than WoW I don't know if any of my friends will go along with me. I'll check out some of the mentioned games. I don't mind all PvP, as long as its an actually good game.

Oh and to whoever said it, I am a console gamer, but I'm just as much a console gamer as a PC gamer.

Edit: Glad you have to pay for the Darkfall trial. Onto the next game.

I am not really sure whether or not there are any huge MMOs coming. I think that Final Fantasy thirteen is coming out or has come out already though. That one is a pretty big deal. Another thing to consider is that newer does not always mean better. You could try looking at other good, established MMOs like Aion, Ryzom, or LOTRO.

Well I looked up Mortal online and it looks awesome. I'm installing it right now. We'll see how it goes, and if I don't like it, then, well, who knows.

Edit: Oh, I get it. The whole game is downloading and installing patches over and over again. It's so much fun.

There are plenty of big names coming but before then we have to make do with what we got. All these big name, wannabes do good now. Average at best. It is a sad state we're in. More competition breeds better games. Now anything can sell decently.

There are so many free trials that you can play that you won't have to subscribe to an MMO for months. Here is a list of a few free trials you can try out: www.gameogre.com/demos.htm

This list is slightly old, for example Tabula Rasa doesn't exist anymore.

Games I recommend you try the free trial of:

    Age of Conan

    EVE Online

    City of Heroes

    Lord of the Rings Online

    Pirates of the Burning Sea

    Warhammer Online

    Everquest II

    Dungeons and Dragons Online

And that's all I can think of right now. Try these games out and you'll understand the current state of the MMO market and what types of games are available.

FFXIV is probably going to be the next game that will draw the interest of some of the WoW players. After that there's SWTOR and Guild Wars 2, which aren't going to be released in a while. I don't think there's other mainstream games that are discussed yet. Well, TERA, but I feel it's going to be very Korean. The Secret World is some sorta social game, I've understood. Haven't followed that much.

A lot of people trust Square Enix, it's a good studio. I hope Final Fantasy is going to be very popular. The brand attracts a lot of people, then there's those who are looking for that next best thing that are going to pick it up, and if it ends up decent MMORPG, it's gonna get subscribers from games like WoW, AoC, Aion, LotRO and so on.

Waiting on Xsyon & betaing stuff
