Gotta be careful if you think you can contain millions of years of instinct inside a huge fish tank.
Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!
That really proves that you CANNOT domesticate wild animals... Wild animals will be wild animals... Better put a cat in a water tank.
So how do you think domesticated animals became domesticated in the first place? ;p
The correct answer is; human intervention. So of course you can domesticate wild animals. Some are just more suitable for it than others. Killers whales are best left in the wild.
People watched as a 40 year old trainer was pulled under the water and killed. This is the third death linked to this whale. Story
I feel bad for her family. However she did choose, as a career to work with animals that could easily kill her if they want.
I don't really understand how this story is major CNN type news. Take out "killer whale" as the cause of death and put in "hit by taxi" and it would make local T.V., maybe.
I guess what I mean is, what besides the "freak factor" is the point of the story? Are they getting the word out that "killer whale" isn't just a cute name? That killer whales are running rampant killing humans, and you are next?
That has to be the worst show ever. Even the supporting cast is crap compared to the other ones.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

Personally I'd start by leaving all the animals that have "Killer" as their first name out of the attempted domestication process.

Um, yeah. Didn't that happen like a year ago?
2/24/10 although this whale has done this before. So it's 12 days old.
Here it is from CBS

This was on my local news. The reason was because her ponytail fell into the water, and the whale thought it was a toy or/and food
Row, row, row your mouse, gently across the screen. Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream.
Anytime you work around that kind of power you’re at risk. Still, you have to feel for the lady. 16 years in her dream job, out on the coast.
All gone in a second, and if it happened the way you say that’s even more tragic.

So why do the call the Killer whale that when it's really a dolphin? Just randomly started to wonder about that.
It makes one wonder why we keep them in captivity. There have been more confirmed reports of attacks from captive killer whales than wild ones.
This is definitely...
*Puts on Sunglasses*
one "Whale" of a tale...
YEEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
No, but seriously, this is a tragedy.
