in Final Fantasy XIV

     I just read this. Thought i share it with you guys. Looks like the first run of FFXIII gives you a ingame item and a chance at Beta. Well guess im headed to Gamestop to get my copy. Goodluck everyone!

     This also covers the EU too. Im from the UK and I signed up my XIII code about 5 hours ago :) fingers crossed!

    Has anyone bought the PC version yet? Was wondering myself if theres a code in the box.

    XIII will not be released on the PC, only PS3 / Xbox. Not sure if the xbox version gets a ps3 code, as my version is the ps3 one.

     its a "chance" at the PS3 beta and the ingame item. also note that if you type this in on the beta signup site you WILL NOT be able to have a shot at the PC beta (which is first).

    so you have to decide on which you want to beta for, PC or PS3.

    Not a great sign if they are going to start getting "gimicky" about beta invites, I'm growing weary of this cheap marketing ploy.

    The people they need to invite are those who are most likely to help make it a better game.

    Dont thin they were trying to be gimicky, Its only for PS3 beta.I think it is their way to narrow down people who actual own a PS3 and are fans of the series. Flip this on its head, if they opened PS3 closed beta to everyone on the net, they could potentionaly be sending invites to people with out a PS3 and only looking to trade theyre invite for something they want (like money).

    I can see where your coming from thought and I agree, just dont think its the case here.

     It's hardly a gimmick. It's just a bonus. FFXIII is a great game on its own merits.

    also NO-ONE knew about US and Uk getting these codes, so it could not have been a gimick to sell FF13. It came in limited amounts (basically the first batches of the game, so pre-orders basically) and not until someone typed it in did they realize it was the code japan got.

    also its no garuntee and if you put this code in for beta you loose any chance at getting into PC beta.
