Sorry Ik but I think this is plain wrong. What exactly is your goal here? After all, you guys will provide a fun semi RP event while still PAYING for broken game.
The equivalent of this IRL would be protesters on spot where they protest buying beer to police and/or people they protest against.

Where do you get the idea that the game is broken? Last time I played (not too long ago) everything worked quite nicely.
The amount of sheer insanity of those who still persist in this game on a daily basis, do sieges on Fury on a weekly basis, etc. is stunning. What do Fury fanatics do when sieges don't work out for them? They do MORE sieges.
This is an equivalent of spending even more money when you hit bankruptcy.
Saddest thing of all is that this yet again won't solve anything, merely provide a laugh or two for those who are insane enough to participate in such futile events.
Quo Vadis, Fury?!
I have participated in sieges and have had nothing but fun. The people who are still crying about the game as it was at launch are truly sad individuals.

About 9 out of 10 sieges on Fury are either unplayable due to lag or simply crash. Now that is sad. Your particular experience with a siege doesn't diminish the fact that AoC servers are still lagging like hell, especially on a populated server like Fury.
I don't get it. Are those people who constantly whine about leaving, that addicted that they cannot make a proper protest - that is 300 people leaving the game for time being?
instead they going to have milk and cookies with FC HQ
Maybe the problem could be people's PCs rather than server side lag? Gamers will complain about anything and everything, and it will be entirely the fault of the server and never the fault of their 5-year-old PC. Here are a few good examples: www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/272243/My-Opinion-of-AOC.html www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/272153/page/1
Also, if the lag really is server-side and not client-side, why don't guilds just pick up and move to a less populated server and do sieges there? It's kinda like banging your head against a wall over and over and expecting that in the next bang you'll be able to walk through the wall, all the while there's an open door right next to you.
OMFG just stop before I get banned again. Game director himself acknowledged the problem and you come here qq about people not having good pc's? Yeah ...
Why they don't transfer?
a.) The transfer costs lots of money
b.)All guilds have T3 cities
c.)They like their home - they have friends and enemies there. What I don't get though is why FC simply doesn't free transfer them to another server ... like Aquilonia. Sure, RP carebears will complain but they are minority (FYI- we are talking about 300+ players here experiencing lag every day ... and it seems that even other instance experience lag now so we are probly talking about 1k angry customers)
Even at release most players had good PCs and If you read guild applications in other MMOs many players have great PCs for even Warcraft or EQ or other games, if someone plays MMOs they spend a lot of time on the PC so having a gaming PC is pretty common and even more so now that components can be purchased to scale. So there are millions that can play AoC on their decent PC and many did...but at least post 1.05 the coding wasn't as optimized as it could have been so I was seeing graphic anomolies on my PC that can run Crysis on max at 50 fps and it also does not scale so well when a lot of Data is being processed like in a siege which has always been an issue with MMOs so that is do to improper scaling programing as most other MMOs with PvP have added measures to decrease poly count during high graphic processing to remedy that and many other games do as well, one example is Warhammer and call of duty that have less rendering as a model goes into the distance.
Also there is only 1 true EU PvP server there is another RP PvP server but is pretty sad that the only solution is to move away from the only real PvP server....EU's PvP server actualy seems to be doing alright compared to America's only PvP server which is very lowly populated now. I could imagine America's Tyrany PvP getting merged into RP/PvP server next year though.

Sorry, buddy, the stale and time-worn argument "it's your fault, not ours" won't work, not by a longshot. And verify some facts before you blame it all on players' PCs, will you? Both Famine and Sirillion are almost every week acknowledging the Fury problem in one way or another, albeit noone at FC can do anything about it.
And sorry, players who invest in AoC on average do not posses 5-year old computers, but state-of-the-art ones. Blaming players who spend thousands of dollars for hardware for 2 years straight is getting kind of hypocritical, don't you agree?
I believe the point is to crash the server, and continue doing it until they wake up, smell the coffee, and start putting some resources into delivering what they said they would deliver in patch series 1.06.
Note to people who do not play on Fury, and have no idea what happens to our sieges and in fact the state of the server itself. It is NOT our pc's, it is NOT our isp's. We have a fubar server. Plain and simple.
People would also do well to note that if you play on Fury. Your forum pm's are NOT private. Funcom are monitoring them. Either that or they have clairvoyants remote viewing troublemakers and ringleaders and having them banned.
This Funcom company is full of shiesters, liars and people with hidden agendas.

Well tranca the thing is that not only it is bannable offense (it can be viewed as exploiting the server) it also is not damaging to FC. It is questionable if you will crash server or just an instance.
Like I said - you want to be heard? Cancel your subs and DON'T login to the game (most of you dummies bought 24 light years from FC). If you login and play the community will not feel how important part siegers actually play on Fury. Cancel and don't play. Easy (although I doubt Craig will change his plans doing that)
I already did cancel my sub Nihce. I also do not log in. The account is now being used by Indi. Who incidentally doesn't have a credit card and so cannot renew when it expires in June. Unless she plays Daddy's favourite again and uses his.
But you know, it's a true saying that the squeaky wheel gets the oil. Customers have a right to complain, be afforded statutory rights and expect honesty from the company they are dealing with. Funcom delivers none of the above. So I did the only thing I could. Cancelled my sub and told them to shove it right up their lying arse.
They will never get another red cent from me. Ever. Even if they made the ultimate game in the history of the universe. Small change to them I know. But it's all I can do.
Tranca [RUS corp]
Heh, tranca, darling, how many times have you cancelled your sub already?
First time ever. I have paid in six months blocks since pre-release....darling.

No problem is Funcom PCs, we have preaty strong computers that we purchased for playing AoC specificaly and we keep them upgraded as most gamers do. Now players on Fury have strong impression that its FC hardware that runs Fury server lacks power. There is no other explanation to why sieges run it seems just fine in US and Crom PVE EU but not on Fury.
I am pretty sure my Grandfater's second PC that he got in a market in his village about 30 years ago is more efficient than the ones Funcom are using -_-
I would love to know the name of their supplier so I know never ever ever to buy the same equipment...
