I'd like to say Hidon and his Hidonites from FFVI. But nah, my favorite boss ever would have been the Final Kefka due to his insane appearance.

As for really hard bosses? Indalecio from Star Ocean 2 without his limit on. Freya from Star Ocean 3 in 4D would also probably be quite nasty. Haven't faced her yet, however.

Killing Diablo was ever so sweet, esspcially when he could even take health off of me, I saved on diablo and killed him again and again and again.

    Good times.

The most memorable fights for me would have to be, mentioned earlier, the Ruby and Emerald Weapons from FFVII. These bosses were really tough, as long as you didn't use the Knights of the Round cheat. I had to pause the battle 3 times to use the bathroom during the Emerald Weapon fight.

Also, the Vampire Neclord from Suikoden II. I really enjoyed that fight because it was a challange. I had victor pretty low on levels when i fought him, so it was another long battle for me. Short battles are hard to remember.

Kefka was the lamest boss ever.  He was too easy.  Just use Ultima and mimic and he was toast.

I thought the end boss fight from the first Devil May Cry was pretty damn sweet

Kefka certainly was easy, as was FFVI as whole really. He was however also one of the best designed RPG antagonists ever, in my opinion.

Contra: Shattred Solider for PS2 (GUYS, YOU GOTTA PLAY THIS GAME). . . . .every boss and thing that move in that da*n game was frikking sweet and frikkin hard.

BattleToads and Double Dragon for sega . . . . took me until 2000 (or 1998) to actualy beat that game . . . . .the boss on the space station always got me.

Magma Dragoon from Mega Man X4 was the coolest boss. He used moves of Ryu and Ken. It's so great how Capcom can always throw somthing in from one of their other kick a** games.

Septhmorth from FF7. Still haven't beaten that dude to this day (thats 8 years, about 3 or 4 years since i played it in those 8 yearsimage)

the last boss in The Bouncer (i don't care what you say about this game, it was a good atempt and it was pretty good when you get used to the controls.)

thats about it so far . . .

Jonaleth Irenicus from Baldurs Gate II: The Shadow of Amn.

I mean c'mon. That dude was just plain out kickass. It's easy to make bosses really hard, tough, etc. But its the personality of the boss that counts.

CoH:  The BattleMaiden, I need to withdraw 3 times from melee and was even killed once, but was able to do kill her with some working before she could regen...

BG2: Drizzt, of course I reload after the fight been a nice character doing nice stuff only, but was kinda challenging.

Overall:  The ''sneak'' attack from 24 colossal dragons on you after you slay the Dark Queen of Krynn and assume you did the hardest and beat the game by mistake!

Others I remember: The giant slug in Diablo, Inny in CoN, the lich & the red dragon in ToD, Sarevok in BG, Lord Soth in Death Knight of Krynn (and many particuliars Auraks/dragons), Tpos/Diaku Supplier in EQ(in UK/PoTa)...and so many others!
