I don't like lifetime subs; one has to play a game for upwards of 18 months for them to become value-for-money and with all of the options available in todays market, that's not a commitment that I'm happy to make.
And I don't like F2P, 'cos they're never really F2P.
Playing: EVE, Final Fantasy 13, Uncharted 2, Need for Speed: Shift
I prefer monthly subscription. Pay2Win (ah sorry, I mean "free 2 play") blows because there the money decides who has the best chances. And lifetime subs: most of the time they are only offered right before a game got released, and I won't pay that much money for a product I couldn't check out.
p4p play 2 hours today ,10 housr tomorrow ,5 hours nextweek, get charged for 17 hours from your account.
I'd like that too. There are games I'd be willing to subscribe to under a payment model like this but I'm not willing to pay a regular monthly fee for them when I'd probably only play extremely casually.
If I they only charged me for the actual time I spent logged in I would be much more willing to sign up. Or if I could buy, say, 50 hours worth of time and then use it at my own pace. So if I logged in for 5 hours this Saturday I would still have 45 hours left and even if I didn't log in again for 2 months I'd still have 45 hours left.
P2P w/ monthly subs. That's the only way I will play. First off, I don't want to be nickel and dimed to death with a cash shop, I want to pay one fee and have access to absolutely everything in the game. Secondly, I want the option to walk away from a game and have my loss of revenue mean something to the developer. I think lifetime subs are idiotic because MMOs change, sometimes dramatically, over time. Look at SWG. If you had a lifetime sub at the beginning and it turned into what it did in the end, you no longer have a sub to the game you subscribed to. If a game goes bad, I want to be able to walk away, telling the developers why they just cost themselves my money. Otherwise, they just laugh their way to the bank, they don't care.
I didn't see the option "I would like to play a game that is... Good"
I call free to play with a cash shop, for two reasons.
1. Not paying for the hours/days/weeks that I may not have time to play.
2. $15.00 per month is a lot more money than $10 or $20 on occasion.
If you play a Pay to play for a year that's $180.00(not counting initial box price.
If you played Grand Fantasia and for some unfathomable reason you wanted one of every item in the shop(excluding bundles of items)
It would equate to 35,435 Aeria Points or about $310.00 or 31 $10 cards
Why not $360? Because each different way to buy points confers a different amount of bonus points on top of what you buy. In this example a $10 game card gets you 1150 points.
All of the items in the store are fluff and nonessential to accomplish any goal.
4897 points worth of Utility items
1852 points Upgrades
16015 points Misc.
11979 points Sprite items
692 points Costume items
That said they have bundles of various items which, if again you chose to buy one of each would run
12256 points or 11 cards or $110
All of which is still fluff and unnecessary to anything. You don't absolutely HAVE to have the maid's outfit to defeat a boss, or complete a quest. So the idea that anyone would spend nearly that much in the shop is patently ridiculous.

F2P without cash shops? I'm afraid I don't have access to the Internet that has those--it's the one with the unicorns and leprechauns.
I wouldnt play a F2P game even if it was completly free (no cash shop)
P2P for me

P2P with monthly subs. It's a good value, without the extra costs and aggravations of the falsely advertised "free" games.
