MY homework found too many people are having the same issues,so it is probably fixable, but there must be a definite reason so many are having the same issue.

First question ,is an obvious one,is this system a O/C system?tons of people have o/c systems,so this could be a common denominator.

Wrong voltage settings? again this could be a common problem.

A few have said that a CMOS reset ,pull the battery fixed the problem. The only other fix was somebody said they had a power plug using only 4 pin connector and took the cap off and used all 8 pins and fixed problem.some only have the 4 pins,i am not really sure how it actually affects, the power.

One other common denominator seems to be  Asus Motherboards,so something is wrong ,maybe the Bios problems, witch is why people have reset and used default and problem fixed. You could try the Asus bios updates and read what the updates fixed, maybe there is reference to freezing in one of the Bios updates.Or of course check the updates for whatever MOBO you actually have.

The biggest problem in narrowing down the common denominator,is it seems all these rich people buying these newest chips,go too fast and start replacing everything, from power supplies,to new memory sticks, new motherboards, they change so many things at once, even if it becomes fixed, you can't figure what the actual problem is lol.

You should go to http://www.memtest.org, download the memtest86+ iso and boot off it and let it test your memory for an hour.

Does the PC only stall while browsing, or does it stall while transfering or downloading files? Does it stall while playing games or all of the above? That could narrow the issue down alot.

Stalling does tend to be your HDD or memory, those green eco drives cause people alot of issues as well as a failing HDD. You can check that with a few file transfers and a defrag to see if it stalls while doing those.
