    Monitor? Keyboard, mouse and stuff?

Not worried about mouse etc, i can get a cheap 5.1 system and keyboard mouse for under 40 pound if i wanted, and can get a HD monitor off my GF's catalogue, i did make another thread other day asking for a system for 800 pound but i tried finance and got rejected haha so am now after a cash build so budget has shrunk abit.

    Iv found this here

    What ya think?

Well I'd go with something like

    some mobo

    radeon 5770

    4 gigs of ram

    1 TB samsung f3 hdd

    some nice psu/case combo

Do you think its possible to build a comp with a 5850 for 550-600 pounds?

Not sure what the price are in there. Not impossible anyway, I think.

And your link is good example on how it should not be done.

You could do it with a 5850 if you got the mouse, keyboard, monitor, speakers and more importantly windows seperately. Even a home premium costs around £50, so it cuts deeply into your £600 limit.

The cheapest 5850 atm is around £220, so you can see how little there is left for everything else.
