Anyways, this seems like good news. WAR deserves to be good game, and I still like Mythic overall.
I don't understand. I haven't played WAR much, but what separates it from it's beloved relative, DAoC, in terms of gameplay? What I mean is, why play WAR when there is DAoC?
I'll wait for concrete details on exactly what they will be adding and improving to judge.All this is is a vague promise of something and a "we really are working on it!".That being said it does carry a little more weight than when Cryptic makes vague promises like this 8P.

I think after reading people are jumping to conclusions, in the context of the rest of what he said I don't think he ment an expansion like The Burning Crusade.

There is talk about adding some content in the "future" and "expanding it".
Thats all it says.
Dont get your hopes up - and dont pay a sub for a game that might get some new content in some far far far away future - after 9 moths of absolutly ZERO added content.
People never learn your just setting youselfs up for even more disappointment, It doesn't say anything about an expansion at all.

Which doesn't exactly equal expansion pack. He may be referring to expanding on the existent content. He may not be, I guess we'll have to wait for a follow up. To me it doesn't sound as though he is referring to an expansion pack though. If he was he would be claiming multiple future X-pacs are in the works, not just an expansion. Which makes it even more unlikely.

You mean like the Scenario weapons and the future expansion of that system ? There is no talk about expansion pack for crying out loud.

You really need to brush up on your reading comprehension, that doesn't mean expansion like TOA or The Burning crusade it just means there going to add new content and expand on it in furture, you've all done it before jumped on a single sentence and ended up diappointed.
Hmmm... well Ive given WAR several tries since launch with approx 45 different toons on both sides across several servers, not counting the ones that ive deleted as well, and every time i found serious issues with the game (bugs, balance issues, crappy performance, etc), though i did also have a LOT of fun in SCs and ORvR. Ive knocked the game a lot due to its past issues, but if its improved as much as some are claiming it has with recent patches, and then to add some new stuff on top of thos eimprovements like this post is saying, then i might actually be willing to give it 1 last shot. It definitely had the potential to be a great game, but delays in fixing issues and leaving out content, and just the way Mythic handled the game overall drove many including myself away. If Bioware has taken the lead and worked with Mythic to get the game to the state it should have been in a year and a half ago, plus adding new stuff finally, it could very well be the great game a lot of us wanted it to be.
My brother and I have only half seriously mentioned hey we should give WAR another shot since theyre doing the free trial anyway, and this might be enough of a nudge to get us to consider it more seriously. Hopefully they release some more details shortly on exactly what their plans are for the game now. The right stuff could bring a hell of a lot of people back to the game.

Serioulsy ... the guy was FORCED to answer comments about WAR. You think he was gonna say .... "its crap we are shuting it down" !! He talked nothing but PR. WAR has had massive issues and is not even close to be a high quality he makes it out to be. Most Mythic gamers still prefer DAOC - much older game when it comes to pretty much every aspect of the game - other than maybe the graphics.
He tried to be as vague as possible... and he did a great job.... Expansion for WAR is coming !!! lol

Well they have been working for that 1.5 years on getting the game out of Beta.... and they also did add LOTD, which whil not much of an expansion, it was still something, and it was free. As i said in my other post in this thread, hopefully theyeve got it in the shape it should have been in to begin with, and if so, now would be the time to start planning on some expansions, even if it is just some minor updates here and there added over time to expand the game, versus one massive expansion which would likely just be full of bugs and problems anyway.

I think everyone is forgetting the possibility that he's referring to free expansions similar to EVE. Which really half the time aren't your traditional "expansion pack". They are still very much viewed as expansions. It usually refers to any update that brings on multiple content updates and additions to the core game in a single patch. As opposed to the traditional "content patch/update".

War was an OK game before, just not great, it was lacking something besides horrible PvE, but with Bioware making the decisions I have no doubt WAR will turn out to be a pretty good game, that said, I am still not sure of I will ever try it again.

That all depends on what he means by "it".
If it is the game then I see no reason to believe that he doesn't mean "expansions for warhammer".
It has nothing to do with comprehension but more to do with interpretation.
Show me the proof that "it" doens't mean the game and then I'll completely agree. But it's vague since it is an off comment.
Look i'm not saying that they have their own "burning crusade" but my reading is just fine thank you very much. If "it" is the game then what he says is "we have all sorts of cool conent and expansions for warhammer".
Whether it is true or not is another thing.

Sorry but the day Bioware took over Mythic - alot of ppl got fired from Mythic .. and the rest starting working on SWTOR. The game has become stagnant cause they are only fixing the issues ... but not adding anything at all. Thats same as a dead MMO if you are asking ppl to pay sub for it...
Hence... the endless free trial talk.
I still play my free trial characters now and again. Its good fun if you have nothing to do and want to have some PVP fun. It also reminds the devs that Im not paying one dime for the game cause they are not adding new content at all !!!
