In a fury to end my lag, I am using the coupon that EQII came with and buying a few sticks of 512 meg RAM from Kingston. This will total my computer's RAM to a gig and a half . I have my eyes on the 175.00$ KHX2700K2/1G (2 - 512MB) deal. Can anyone back up this deal? RAM is the only thing that I do not know about when buying rigs. Just never seemed important until now, you know?

Im not sure exactly what RAM you have there, but it looks to me like PC2700 DDR300... i think. Anyways, you should try and get PC3200 DDR 400, as opposed to PC2700.
Though the only problem would be that if he does not have a cpu that supports the higher memory, the higher speed memory will clock down to meet the speed of his cpu.
Though it will still be good if he ever plans on upgrading that.
