So erm... City of Star Trek?

I never really understood why some people were going bananas over the studios changing until I just played the trial yesterday. I mean, come on! Same engine, same interface, same combat style, same graphics style. Star trek is a well known IP producing $50M movies that has a very finely tuned atmosphere, there are maybe 5 next generation movies and they aimed the game at this timeline. The game is very cartoony, it lags a lot so on my reasonable PC (Q6600, 4GB RAM, HD4850) so I have to keep the graphics quite low and you can't see any details on the enemies until you're in melee range.

I don't like the CoX franchise, I've given it a try a few times and I'm so dissappointed that they didn't try anything new at all. These days surely a massive fraction of the MMO industry their aiming at has played CoX.

If you're a star trek fan or have just seen enough to have a pre-conception of things like what the borg should look like then I cannot recommend putting any money into this game until you've had a trial.
