Hello Everyone!
I know you are all anxious to get into Xsyon, so here is a quick update about our plans for the week.
Tomorrow I plan to take a break from programming to answer FAQ questions so that a full FAQ list can be posted on the site.
Wednessday evening we plan to let some players in regardless of the state of the game, so at least some of you can begin to play around and get a feel for the Xsyon world.
Over the next few days I will assess our situation in terms of what still needs to be organized and completed. I'd like the pre-release players to have a decent amount of time in the game before our final wipe. I'm not sure if 2 weeks will be enough and I'd also like to take some time to plan some evolutions of the tribe system and some other features based on what's been discussed here so far.
The final wipe might be pushed forward. If it is, the 2 months free game play for pre-order players will begin after the final wipe.
I'll make a further announcement this week.
I'm as anxious as all of you to get this game rolling!

How are the Prelude figures looking? If someone was to pre-order now what is the expected timeframe to be ingame for prelude?
Id like to think Im as sceptical as everyone else, but Im also willing to go out on a limb. Can this be any worse than MO right now?

I don't have any figures to give. On top of this time expectation will vary depending on bugs that come up and how quickly they are fixed.
I have never played MO so I do not know.

I very much subscribe to the MMO philosophies: "It is done when it is done" and it's corollary: "It will not be released until it is done."
In other words, I think you guys shouldn't worry about pushing back your launch date as much as you can get away with. Releasing a well polished game is more important that releasing it "RIGHT NOW" in my opinion.

In all seriousness, with the huge feature list this game has I think it would warrant a longer than average beta rather than such a short one, rushing into release with so many systems & so little testing is a recipe for failure.
I guess we will know in about two days time. Bring on the vids.

I was merely stating that it was appearing as if you were qoting me for saying that when infact i was merely posting what the lead dev said.
No, you stated that I it looked like I missed the point, but now you say you meant I should have indicated that you were quoting someone else, as if that was unclear to anyone and hardly relevant to the point of my response at all. Well, that is clear now. Still need an explanation on how you are causing confusion?
Btw, I found out, with a bit of experimenting how to place a quote on these forums. Place your text between <blockquote></blockquote>. Go to Preview first and then post it.
