First thing SoE did after release was set endgame mobs/encounters back to their intended level of difficulty, they had been tweaked to allow for understandably less prepared beta testers the chance to test those endgame encounters and give feedback. I'm surprised you didn't know this if you were actually in EQ2 beta for any length of time... And if you weren't you really have no business comparing the two.
I've read flamewars between Republicans and Democrats leading up to the last election that didn't contain as much passionately espoused bullshit and misinformation as some of the posters in WoW vs. EQ2 threads I've seen here. It's pathetic.

I'll have to politely disagree with you. Yes, it is annoying seeing fans from other games come and post negativity in the forum for the game that you are a fan of. I would venture a guess though that these forums are not for what you seem to think, otherwise it would not have been created until November 8th when EQ2 went live. Another thing to note, I myself have not played a lick of EQ2, does that mean I should not be posting here, even if I'm not promoting another game? This forum is for discussing the game, development, and developers, for good or ill - not just for praising and glorifying them. To each their own though.

i have no clue how anyone who has tried both can still wanna go play WoW, it friggin disney already. I kep expecting Pluto and Minnie to pop up, but hey just my opinion. EQ2 is amazing and years ahead of its time, thats also just my opinion, but I'm right and you just have to deal with it
