Good morning all!
I played champions at launch... and frankly wasn't that happy with what I saw. After the hype, it was a bit of a letdown. Since then, I have poked my head in during the free times, but... I don't know, something seems off to me. But, I may be missing something, or maybe have a bad taste in my mouth and need to give it more of a chance.
But you guys have. I'm here to find some casual Champions players who are willing to share their opinions and insights into what it is like being a casual player here. Is it worth it? What are your challenges? All that jazz. I'm looking for people interested in writing articles from a casual-community perspective, or even hosts of a Champions Online Fan Podcast!
If your interested, send me a PM, and I'll shoot back some details to ya

Well i am playing very casually atm (Uni is just about to end yet i have 2 massive projects to do) and i originally played at launch. As a lifetime subber (so is my friend) i feel no obligation to keep logging in so my play times vary from week to week. Often i get in 1 good 1 or 2 hour session on my main playing alongside my friend. Then i usually get 1 or 2, sessions on my alt(s) that can last up to 3 hours.
As for how the game is...
I'd say it has improved performance wise and you can see them add new content which is always good. The areas i am in (the city) never changed but that was not a problem. Missions/quests are always easy to find and you are also able to grind (thank god) in the public quests and still feel like your achieving something. The new healing powerset is freaken awesome (i love healing) and i am about to make a character based off of it.
I'd say the biggest issue is the lack of information about grouping challenges. You can infact find loads of these (almost) hidden instances that are fun to do in groups (as small as 2 or large as 5). I am pretty sure the game tailors the instance to how many are in your group and they are quite fun to storm through (they last about 30 minutes or so). The problem is only very few quests mention an instance and very few people know about them. Basically there is nothing stopping you from grouping up and having fun (i highly recomend it) and if you really want to have some fun in a traditional grouping sense then keep a look out for these instances.
For the solo'ers out there nothing is really limited. Depending on how you built your character you can quite easily solo (if you have healing abilities and/or buffs and escapes) and most power sets are viable solo'ers.
