Is DDO item-mall dependant (I mean you can apy 100 bucks and become immortal) or you only get content or what?
The item mall is probably the best set up RMT I've ever seen in a game. You can buy some equipment, but its the same stuff you can find. You will have to buy a few adventure packs/content packs as you play, but that's more to avoid the tedium of the grind. There are 2 races and 2 classes that you can buy as well, but one race and one class can be earned through grind. Ultimately, you can theoretically play the entirety of the game for free, but it will require an awful lot of grinding.
Myself, I drop about 10 bucks a month or so on the game, but I only buy adventure packs.
well the thing about DDO is its like league of legends you dont have to pay a dime you can just play and earn the cash shop money in game so any items in there you can buy by playin the game.

I've seen DDO mentioned a lot in this thread, and coincidentally I just downloaded it last night. Maybe we should all get together and give it a shot. I can look into making a guild for everyone who's interested. Might be fun.
if your looking for a new game, i must admit that the superhero genre is quite good, champions and cox to me still feel quite interesting, unfortunatly im into wow at the moment (before you crucify me im going to give it up) but i have an urge to wait for dcuo, i dont know why but i just feel it pulling me towards it, if your thinking about ddo aswell it heard it is like wizard101 (another good game) that you get to a stage and you feel a need to sign up, anyway i would recomend the superhero mmos, or like me you could wait for dcuo, and i might see you there ( sorry about not being able to help you alot im in europe, and certain games have different servers, like you i wish for partners to play mmos with) have fun and i hope my info helps

Cool. I have both a newbie monk and a cleric made on Cannith. I doubt I will be able to play tonight and tomorrow is my girlfriends birthday so I will try to catch up with you guys on Tuesday if anyone is playing.

I am willing to give DDO a try again. My guild used to be on that server and some likely are still as well. I would want to start over though.
I believe they have pre-defined builds that you can use now from the start and they chose for you unless you decide to modify it at some point.

Okay : )I'm just getting tired of FE and thinking its not anything for me, but how do I know.. I havent seen S2 yet.
Yes DDO can be played free. I used to sub to it and thought it was worth the $15 a month. . so if you can get away with $5-$10 that is not bad.
