Can you transfer ff11 items to ff14?

My brother seems to think you can transfer items from ff11 to 14 but i havent seen this information posted anywhere. I figured i would ask if anyone had a link that would back up his statement. I doubt it, though.

its more then highly unlikely, its just not going to happen, garunteed. Reminds me of poeple who want to transfer characters to this game. Its a new game/universe..ect so i can 100% say it won't happen.

SE has stated however, they are trying to figure out a way for XI players to keep their names if they wish to transition to XIV. He probably misunderstood somewhere or the person he heard it from was blowing his hole.
Pretty sure item transfers aren't going to happen. We could all use a fresh start in a new world anyways.
What makes your brother even think that 14 will have the same iitems? Its an entirely differnet game. If the items were the exact same, the stat effects would be the same, which would mean stat progression and all that in 14 would have to be the same, and so on, eventually making it a replica of 11.

Real life brings repetition and pointlessness too. The only thing real life offers is Great graphics. Its kinda expensive too and way to dependent on the cash shop. Totally pay to win as well. No thank you. Ill stick to my games.

To answer the question: no.

LOL. But, but you can use the same Square Enix account in both games, and transfer your time from playing ff11 to playing ff14. So, items lost in ff11 can be farmed back in ff14 as equivalent replacements.
Two entirely different and separate worlds.
The reason they said you can keep your name is because you have a first and last name in this game, so even if your name was Jake you could keep it because in 14 you will have to pick a last name too. Since the whisper system uses both the first and last names you could be Jake Valentine and your friend could be named Jake Smith and be on the same server.
Bottom line is, nothing from 11 will transfer to 14.
What makes you think the whisper system uses first AND last names? Personally, I'd bet that first names must be unique and last names are tacked on. Otherwise it makes tells cumbersome.
The absurdity of the question from the OP really makes me wonder how this thread has made it to 2 pages.!

yeah only bioware games do this and it's normally a "no previous items" thing... just levels... and single player...
although, i'd love my golden chocobo from FF7 to be used in other FF games lol
