Virginia-based guild looking for new recruits in the EST and CST timezones specifically. Relatively small guild with predictable and regular gaming habits.
Members can expect and enjoy a very personal and very friendly environment. Special get-togethers are just one way we facilitate this. A simple example would be LANing together. Thus, the reason for our localized playerbase should be obvious. A resulting fringe benefit of such friendships is more players for other games too, not just MMOs or WoW.
Our guild will establish itself on one EST PVP ruleset server TBD upon release of the game and the server lists. Feel free to read no further if you have objections to our server preference. While we engage in everything a game, in this case a MMO, can offer us our main focus can be categorized with PvP. Although our guild was founded before the first "popular" MMOs, Ultima Online was the first for us. As such, we fully embrace the philosophy that a MMORPG should be constructed in such a way that allows and gives the player the feeling of spontaneous excitment and unpredictability. The PvP ruleset being offered is as close as one could get to such an environment with WoW.
I could waste my time noting that we enjoy other things such as crafting, but it is very important that a potential applicant understand our philosophy towards MMOs (even better if you agree with us, eh? ) before any further elaboration is necessary.
Having said that, we are obviously not a group of people that everyone could or should get along with. We are not looking for the a-typical raid-o-holic highstress MMO player. Sorry; we don't want you. I am actually not a very good representation of our guild pool either due to my personal nature of philosophizing and making things sound analytical. But you'll have to bear with me since I am a co-founder.
However, if you're able to maintain a pretty easy-going attitude and want to make some new friends, feel free to contact me for further discussion. Speaking of the Virginia area specifically, I can understand how hard it can be to find some personal gaming pals around here.
And since some people want to know up front nowadays: a TeamSpeak server is maintained for the guild, but a website and forums are currently AWOL. We're trying to do some nifty things with php. Web assistance is also welcome.
Contact me via e-mail if interested in further information...or alliteration.
