Release date in Europe?

Has any confirmed date been given for a European release?

Also - will any Europeans be able to play on any Server?

As a english speaker in scandinavia, i am REALLY hoping that i can play on th eUK servers, otherwise i'll not be able to understand the swedish etc chat going on around me...

    Thats going to be very tricky. Localisation issues in Europe make releasing a game there a headache I expect. It should be based on your main spoken language, not country of residence. I dont understand why companies force people of differant nationalities to play on differant servers. It should be a customer decision, and the company should try and provide as many options as possible. Yeah ok there are differant gaming cultures, its more than just language, but still it should be more flexible.

    Im sure Blizzard realise that many Europeans are bilingual for instance, lets hope they take that into consideration when they develop European servers.

    In terms of release, no i havent seen any date for Europe. According to there latest news release, Europe is gonna have final stress test soonish, open beta, and release. Id say your talking a good two months away total.

    Also even though i hope Blizzard are flexible it wouldnt surprise me if you were forced to play on swedish server. Better investigate some way of entering the U.K servers.

    i heard something about 3months later for europe release but no confirmd informations on the websites i hope they get it soon cant wait to play ::::06::

    Here's what I know so far:

    There's going to be three separate sets of servers - English, German & Frence. I've
    no idea how many of each but I presume at least a pvp and non pvp server for
    each.

    Blizzard have announced that if we pre-order from selected venders on the 26th then we'll
    receive a key to enter the stress test beta prior to open beta. If they follow the same
    plan as the US stress test then there'll be a one week stress test and then a one
    week-two week open beta prior to retail.

    Amazon.co.uk says retail is in late Feb 2005 but today I was informed by another
    e-commerce site that the date had changed to 15th of December - so if my guesses
    are true then stress test will be start of December.

    I'm hoping I'm correct - if anybody else as heard anything I'd love to know.
