are there no true MMOFPS games other then planetside?

as the titles says, i used to love planetside but with a declining population and SOE messing up the game ive resorted to messing around with other FPS games (BF, COD, etc)...i havent been able to find any other MMOs like planetside, if anyone has found one let me know

Bad Company 2 is sooooo awesome in the meantime.
Huxley - though I do not know when they will actually release the game in North America.
Planet side and global agenda. That's about it.
Planetside 2 in the making, so there is hope. Until then Planetside is the onlye true MMO FPS, the other are more of a guild wars setup for FPS.
WWII online is really the only other one...
I forgot to add, there's some semi-mmo shooters out there. One is a GTA:SA (Grand Theft Auto) online mod, some servers have up to 200 or so people on them, most have about 100 or so, it makes for a fun time.
Also APB is coming up soon, it's "instances" hold up to 100 people. . .so again, it's kind of a mini-mmo experience though you'll be surprised how busy a shooter gets with 100 people running around.
In terms of Scale and similarity towards planetside:

Pretty old game, dont even know anyone plays it anymore, but big battles were definitely their.

Call it a planetside ripoff if you like, but they're yet to screw up their game compared to the original.
all the others such as Global Agenda, Huxley, Outpost or whatever SOE's piss bucket they are trying to make (Agency) dont hold and will Never hold a candle to Planetside when it comes to scale of FPS battles.
Dont bother waiting for planetside 2, it will come out whenever Smedolonious get's off his butt to even throw some funding down for it.
I'm not a fan of the third person shooter thing that seems to be gaining popularity among devs now days. That being said, even if they are third person not FPS they are no PS. I'm still eagerly awaiting a new MMOFPS too come along. CrimeCraft was like a bad port that never even made it to console before it was ported. GA is so heavly instanced it's smaller in scale than BCBF2.
that chinese PS clone looks interesting...and yeah i cant wait for APB, it is third person but looks sweet, would kill for another MMO such as PS though

Yeah, I definitely miss PS. Nothing brought me more joy than hijacking a BFR from some tunnel-visioned tool on a hill.

yea pve/hub zones, then you have the pvp matches which are like regular fps games small teams then you have the major battlezones where up to a 100 players fight over control of resources for their faction
yeah, i dunno, i dont like the feel of having a game being called an MMORPG and you are just going through lobbies or similar system (such as global agenda), part of the reason for being an MMO is that whole massive part, where there is a huge world you can go around, planetside had the different planets which is sorta like instances gameplay but the potential was there to have hundreds if not thousands of people fighting at the same place at the same time.
well i see your point as far as global agenda goes its only 10vs10 so 20 people at 1 time but huxley is gonna be 100 on 1 battlezone which champions online is only 100 in 1 zone as is APB. And as far as instanced/hubs that is what guild wars is and from what I am gathering swtor is going to be also
