The Official website is crap.

IMO, the game looks promising.

As the title says, the website is crap...i thought i clicked some other link. it doesn't represent the game much.

i think they paid some college student to get it done.

I think it perfectly represents the game.

Of course what does the website matter? SOE websites are usually a mess and take forever to load. Of course their games have been okay.

Notorious Games are almost college students doing something they enjoy. They're an indie game developer.

But don't judge a game on the website. Judge it on the game.

While it could be lighter and load faster, it does its job, has a cohesive aesthetic design and represents the game, IMO.

In point of fact, they are actually veteran programmers. Jooky (lead deve) designed the client for Roma Victor and many of the Russian programmers have worked on other games previously.

For me, a games official website says alot about the game itself. When I saw the games official site it turned me away instantly. A pet-peeve of mine.

The website doesn't bother me so much. Its pretty straight to the point. My opinion is sorta the other way around - if you need a flashy website with lots of eye candy to coax people into buying your game, then its probably going to be crap.

What I would like to see, however, is some actual in-game video footage on the site. While graphics do mean something to me, its the gameplay that matters more. Be that as it may, I am very interested in this game...but will probably wait about 6mos until after release before joining or subbing to it.

If you would take a moment to venture into their forums there are several in-game videos and screenshots.

    Located HERE

The developers have stated they aren't going to bother making videos because as proven by other dev's - it's very easy to throw together flashy shots and make a game look appealing, yet it does not represent the game.

This is why it is being left to players to actually show them .. playing.

No, I didn't. Sorry I don't have the ability of the Blizzard website team in my 2 hands.

Kinda Funny that a site makes or breaks a game for you

Actually, I lied the layout and art work was done by the graphics guys and one of hte programers.

I jsut did the sorting out of it all.

By your logic it represents the game perfectly, infact, it even reflects it.

  • I like the website.

But it is an indie games studio. Yes, I was wrong to say 'almost college students' but I wasn't being entirely mater of factly.

I like it as well.  Simple, to the point.  Tells you what to expect, and the forums do the rest.

And, as a side note, I even got a PM from Virtus!  Of course, it was telling me my sig was too large...but I felt special nonetheless.
