Ok so i'v never played FF 11, my last FF game was 6 or 7 can't quite remember. anyways looking at the website the Pugilist looks a lot like a rogue class. Any idea if there will be steath in this game? will the Pugilist have stealth?

You were able to use consumable items (powders) to provide a stealth-like effect in FFXI iirc, which allowed you to bypass aggressive mobs quite easily. They were fairly costly though I think.
I kind of hope they give one of the jobs innate hiding abilities, although I can see why they might not, as it would basically allow someone of that job to bypass content without any penalty.
pugilist is someone who fights with thier fists, like a boxer. not a rogue class.
like a monk type class.
No. Pugilist is Monk and Thief in one.
Rogues can't hit things with claws and such? You guys shouldn't get too stuck in the normal "rogues use daggers" method that games do it. XIV's rogues use fists and claws, and it's not really any weirder than using daggers.
As for the stealth comment, Archer has something like it.
I expect it'll be similar to FFXI, a few classes will have access to abilities that grant stealth effects and everyone else will be able to craft or buy items to do the same thing. I really hope they keep the sight, sound, smell and magic detection systems though, that made things much more interesting than other MMOs.
Whether or not the Pugilist will have access to such abilities is really just a matter of wait and see. A lot of the classes in FFXIV are quite distinct from those of similar styles or roles in western MMOs. The pugilist is more of a brawler class to be honest. The only reason they have steal is because they use agility as the basis for their combat skills so it made sense for them to have the ability. They're not really a sneaky type anyway since they have hate gaining skills and seem to be designed as a front line fighter.
FFXI never used stealth abilities as a combat mechanic either, it was always just a means of making travel easier. I'm not sure if FFXIV will really see the rogue-type combat stealth that many are used to in other MMOs.
