I was thinking about this earlier today... I was thinking the "Spellbreakers," or at least I think that's what they were called. If I'm wrong, I mean the Blood Elf dudes from Warcraft 3 that had big red shields and had double edged swords that countered magic. It would be cool because it would in essence be a cloth caster that could fit both a tank and dps role, I was thinking it could even go so far as to have a mana shield (mana drains with each hit instead of health, when it is gone, health begins to deplete) because it would have low health/stamina as a result of cloth armor. The game needs more tanks, even with the addition of Death Knights, so this class would be cool because it could fill that role and well as please those looking elsewhere besides more melee combat classes and opens up a new caster role as well as a tank, and at the same time it would not compete with other tanks for gear.
months or years ago I would of asked for a battle mage.. and martial arts monk.. but after see'ing the direction Blizzard is doing with classes, the lines that distinquished one class from another are becoming very blurred.. I just can't stand end game in it's current form, and adding classes just isn't going to do it.. oh well..
