The game director himself (who was one of the original GTA designers) stated that to not expect too much from APB. I just like how they're not building the hype as much as the WAR or AoC developers did; they publicly state it won't be some epic GTA MMO, rather a smaller, instance-based cops and robbers game.

    I believe that the recent train wrecks we've seen in MMO releases lately could have been avoided if the developers had taken this approach. APB is sounding even more like a good casual game to check out.

    I also noticed they're "phasing" open beta, rather than letting a massive slew of FilePlanet free users in. If you got into the closed beta last Sunday, they're doing it again this next Sunday too for the same four hours, and probably the next week after that.
