The game seems very well done with good well though out quests and PvE. However what I was really looking forward was the PvP aspect which turned out to be a joke.

Massive amounts of quests, some people like them, some people dont. The game should be called World of Endlessquests.

I really liked the "feel" of the game. It was very intuitive and fun, were as some other games are more of a chore to play.

    Yeah, I'd do Betty....
But I'd be thinking about Wilma.

man WoW as a whole is awesome. the quests do not mount and if they do mayb u should enjoy them as you can discover the world and get good loot and experience through them. alliance mostly sucks except for night elves as the players are quite stuck up and very unfriendly in most of the other races. i recon taht if you play WoW you should try all classes and races and then comment on what you think the good points are so piss of 92 whateva with ur lvl 10 char. man, if u think teh game is so bad and ur really trying to get a lvl higher to see what the fuss is about, shut up until u get there and stop complaining. obviously WoW does not suit you so do not play it, allow people to make their own perceptions on what wow is like and argue with them from a professional view, not as anything else (not specifing:P *cough* fanboyeq2 *cough*

anyways what a paragragh of crap... lol

I'd Rather stab myself in the eye than play this game....J/K.   Tho there is a few things i did not like about wow that eq2 has.  Oh and that comment about killing 3k rats to get to lvl one,  go step ontop of a land mine, your an idiot and the world can use less of your kind.

WoW quest system is not flawwed, but it should not treat the 12 years playing the game like 7 year olds.

WoW Community was horrid, i maybe met a few nice people, the others constantly tried to KS (eventho you cant) and tried to comp small standard spots where people level and Hog it.

WoW crafting way to easy and requires no brain power to make something.

CONTENT FOR PEOPLE WHO REACH LEVEL 60 FAST....God it needs more content besides PVP.

those are my main 4 problems with the game and why im staying with eq2, if blizz can fix those then i'll buy the game and play.

Very strange thing to say. Of course it's mainly about quests. You prefer grinding with no purpose? Then don't click on the NPCs... No-one's forcing you. Do you post on the Unreal 2004 forum and say "OMG! This game should be called Shoot People With Guns Until You Win"??

Will you be doing any quests in EQ2? From what I understand, some are necessary to advance your character in that game.

Coming from someone who never reached post 20 levels, this opinion seems rather odd. I've played Everquest 2, and to be honest, the quests there aren't any better or worse than the ones in WoW. Grouping does not usually happen on a large scale in open betas, get over yourself. How about I tell you Everquest 2 should be called Everquest the game with no PvP besides duels 2?

The quests in the early levels of WoW are there to give you an exp boost so you can actually start exploring the world and get on with playing the more challenging part of the game.

EDIT: Also, why do you insist on posting the same opinion over and over again if you've already made up your mind to play EQ2? I love WoW, am currently playing EQ2, and doubt I will continue to do so after the 23rd. Why, because I think WoW is just so much more fun and immersive.

You complain about repetetive quests, yet I doubt you've ever escorted a Tortoise back to his wife or made sure that a mechanical chicken reached its launch spot safely. There is a lot to do in WoW even before level 15 than questing, and I'm sorry you never found the time to try out anything besides your supposed forced questing. Everquest 2, if anything, with its current lack of PvP is a boring grindfest, not WoW.

How mature and thoughtful. So, EQ2 has many things in it that you don't like about WoW, I'd see that as a flaw, but that's just me.

My played time in EQ2 retail is fast approaching six days, and I doubt it will reach seven in the near future. Now, I'm not going to start flaming EQ2 and its community, but lets just say that at is current state, EQ2 does not hold much interest for me. I see why someone who enjoys roleplaying, is not an active PvP participant and likes a "Tolkienesque" atmosphere would prefer EQ2 over WoW, as far as PvE goes both EQ2 and WoW are excellent games. For me, however, the story is different. I love PvP and am not a big fantasy or roleplaying fan, so WoW with its more humorous and light minded atmosphere is just the game for me. I will hold on to my EQ2 account as a "backup" and play from time to time, but after taking part in the ob, I just can't wait to get back to playing WoW.

Ok, since the EQ2 supporters keep crawling back into the wow forums i must ask. Shouldnt you be playing eq2 since its so good? Quit coming in here and spewing crap about a game you have obviously hardly played.

I played a lvl 30+ monk in EQ2 beta for the last 3 months ....and again, there is no high lvl conent in EQ2 and even if there is its completely untested because there was no one even high enough in BETA to test it!!

Wow has high lvl raid content thats actually been tested on the beta servers. Dont forget it also has PVP and quests that actually explain where the hell your supposed to go. I think EQ2 might have just as many quests as WOW but since they are all so blind, pointless and unrewarding(dont forget that half were broken past 30 when beta ended) that no one bothers to do them! So enjoy continuing to BETA test EQ2 just like the suckers that played SWG for the last year. EQ2 could have been better but they got scared by Wow and released it WAY to early. EQ2 players are still mostly low lvl but in few weeks or a month they will see just how unfinished the game really is. When you all come crawling to WoW dont come crying to me, you will get no symapthy.

Yes because just running around mindlessly killing mobs for exp is so much more fun? At least theres a back drop to why you are doing each quest.

Onto what the question was, this is a game that finally gives the more laid back and casual gamers a place to call home, to me thats what sets it apart from almost every major MMO out there right now.

    Customer service.

SOE has the worst customer service on the planet.  Blizzard has always had the best customer service.  After the debacle that is SWG.  SOE will no longer get a single dollar of my money ever again.  Screw me once shame on you. Screw me twice shame on me.

I like the fact that I can have a normal life, school, work, Jeep, Jeep chicks, and still be able to play an MMORPG. I hate it when those games seem to be like work.

It seems to me that WoW is a game for those not so hardcore. It's an easy and intuitive start but as you level it becomes more complex. The talent system and such. I think that While it's easy to start it will become more full as you play and will becopme more like the hardcore MMOs. I played 5 different chars all to abround lvl 15 in the OB. I loved each character. I soloed and I grouped. I joined a guild. My experience with the WoW community was that they were all in all nice with a few a$$holes in the bunch. But isn't that all MMORPGs. No communtiy is without it's rotten eggs.
