"Yes, you read that correctly. Alan “Brenlo” Crosby leaves Sony Online Entertainment. Quite a few significant staff changes have happened in the industry this April, and this one is quite surprising. In my personal opinion, it was Alan that was turning that game around, hence the lot of us returning to it.
Well, the official word from Sony Online Entertainment is “After many years of service with SOE, Alan “Brenlo” Crosby has moved on to other opportunities. And while it is sad to see him leave, we wish him the best of luck in his new endeavors. At this time, we’d like to take a moment to announce EverQuest II’s new producer, Dave “Avatar” Georgenson. Dave is excited to join the EQII Team and will be posting an introduction in the near future.”
We spoke to Alan as well, and he told us “Yeah after working together for 10 years, it was my time to move on. Was a great ride and I am going to miss my SOE family.”
We’ve always liked Alan, so we wish him the best, and will let you know where he is going, as soon as we do."
For those too lazy to go to link, i wonder who he will be going to O_O
All I can say is this last xpac left a bitter taste in most folks mouth. There have been a lot of issues with it. We have had lots of fixes, and it was not very polished.
I founded the xpac to be about 2/3rds the size of the kunark pack and not as much to do. I have yet to try the battlegrounds stuff as I keep hearing how bad things break in it.

Well, good luck to him.

The Shadow Odyssey left me unimpressed
I havent played the recent expansion
I never really liked the guy in EQ or EQ2, but I wish him well nonetheless
EDIT:
I will give Brenlo credit for AXING last years proposed Combat REVAMP

both expacs sucked under him, most eq2 players are pretty happy to see him leave TBH.
Maybee we will be better off without him.

I feel true saddness in Brenlos hasty departure. I will be dedicating my first segment of My Next Rodo Report to him.

Meh. Oh well. People change jobs all the time.
And they did a great job on Halas. Best housing in the game. Quests... not so much.
A fitting Memorial , I hope you enjoy but there is a Dark Side -
