Noob on Quezacotl

Ok, would like to know if any linkshells would invite a level 40 noob. Due to strange playing hours and lots of mmo experience grinding, I had managed to make my way to level 40 without ever finding a party - and am also stuck at 2-3 mission! I did manage to get into one LS but it died just before the Mid merger to Que and they never seemed to hook up for anything!
I really love this game and come back and try to accomplish all I can, but this last and current sub is probably going to have to be my last if I can't find a LS. I'm totally willing to start over by leveling a sub jobs as I need experience in playing in parties. I am truely beginning to think those that said it was hard to start FFXI now because everyone is/was... at max level may have been right. Please lol, I don't want to leave but as U know missions are critical to advancement.
