Hey, I've been trying a few different classes out in tortage and curious to know about the tos. I keep reading that it is the easiest class to play and they are overpowered & highly played to people, is that really true or is that just tos hating? I'm still not really sure which class to play, but don't want to play one that tons of people play...

I think a lot of it nowadays is ToS-hating.
They are easy to play because they are a healer class that does very decent DPS. They're DPS numbers are not as high as a true DPS class, however it is higher than the PoM or BS, plus their AOE attacks make it easy to solo several mobs at once.
They used to be OP but FC has done a pretty good job at balancing the classes as of late. If you want the most proficient healer it's the PoM, and BS has greatest survivability, but I had most fun with ToS.
The great thing is that you can try out every class to lvl 20 without paying a dime... so try them all and play whatever's most fun for you. Also... I tell everyone to try HoX at least once... mage witha 2H sword is just awesome!

HoX is one of the classes I haven't tried yet, but seems pretty interesting, I love the whole 2h thing... are they a pure dps class when casting/melee? and are they highly sought after in groups, or are there alot out there?
it's true that they are probably one of the easiest classes to play
it is true that very powerfull even in the hands of an less skilled player.
it is also true that there are lots of ToS . see above :P
like the second post mentioned ToS are the most offencive healers in AoC. since they have no combos they are very easy to play, like all casters in AoC. they have AoE damage which pulsates from them outward, AoE totems, ranged casts, pluss some very decent cc, and of course grait heals. that, on top of being very mobale, makes them both easy to play and very powerfull in pvp regardless of your skill level.
Pom is still a caster healer but doesn't have not nearly as much dps as ToS.
BS is in between the two but because of the fact that it's a mele class it is much harder to play succesfully.
