Color Customization?

I was in my local GameStop this evening and got to talking with one of the guys working there about FFXIV (he's really looking forward to it) and one of the things he mentioned is that you will be able to fully customize the color of your armor/gear. I've been keeping up with released info on this game as much as possible but I haven't heard anything about this. Just curious, has anyone else heard about this?

Typical "Gamestop Employee BS" ~ seriously its amazing he even knew that FFXIV existed...
The few times I had to encounter them, all they knew about was WoW, or if you asked them what the latest RPG was they'd hand you one of the Halo titles...rofl
Yes, that's true. You can also add custom "runes" to your armor to further personalize them.
The rumor is that you can even choose what kind of material the armor is made of, making it look different depending if you used wool or leather etc.
Some people who dug around the .dat files of the alpha client said there's indications that using a particular crystal element can have an impact visually. Not confirmed however, just speculation on what was ripped from the clients .dat files.
If you look through the alpha screenshots that are floating about and find some of the item tootips you'll see that both the colour and material of equipment is listed. I think that's a big hint that it'll be possible to change them somehow.
