i played this game for a few months last year and i just resubbed. when i did play i never got to check out the PvP scene so i was wondering if someone can just give me a heads up as to how active it is and which servers are more PvP friendly. i also want to know if the arena is cross server and is there any open-world combat/contested zones. i don't mind a wall of text if you can spill the beans on this side of CoH.

As much as I would love to brag that I am I confess I am not much of a PvPer but can answer a question or two for you....
Yes, there is PvP in special open zones, and also an Arena. Sadly when I last played not many people were really interested in an Arena match but maybe I just didn't know the right people. There was also going to be a thing with Base Raids but I don't know if that got off the ground.
Best server for PvP? I would have to think Freedom. It is the highest population server partly because it is the unofficial PvP server. I cannot remember which coast Freedom is located on (since I am Australian and very bad at geography) but the highest population server on the opposite coast is Virtue which is unofficially the Role-Players server.
If you meet the right people in the right places you will quickly learn more about this. If asking for a place to start I'd guess posting a message on the forums under the Freedom list.
Have fun and hopefully I have helped at least a little bit.
for the three months i played i found that there was only 1 person in the pvp area and he was just sitting there waiting for noobs to pass through so he could gank them so if there is anyone playing pvp i never saw anyone other then that one guy and to avoid getting ganked i like many other ppl as i found out avoided the pvp area like the plague and just took the long way around
I'm not really sure how you can get ganked when everyone is the same level in a PvP zone. As for which server is the best for PvP, that would be Freedom.
