WTF Mythic!!

Well, I just got my Credit Card bill this week and something surprised me... Yup, Mythic sent me a bill for the monthly subscription to Dark Age of Camelot. Only thing is.... I'VE NEVER EVEN PLAYED THAT GAME!!!!! What the crap, how did that get there? I've never even bought/played DAoC ever in my life. This is retarded. Oh, and get this, the only way I can cancel my "Subscrpition" is to log into DAoC and cancel the billing. Only thing is... I DON'T HAVE DAOC!! Jesus! So I have to spend $50 to cancel the subscription to a game I'VE NEVER HAD! Damn this sucks!! Any ideas?

     Don't worry about it, go to their website and e-mail them. If they are still going to bill you (And you didn't subscribe or purchase the game) then you can sue them.

     But my question is, how can that even happen? Are you sure you didn't play the free trial or something and forget to cancel the game?

    Yeah... I would like to know how they got your CC number... You must have given it to them, or someone you know did...

    Ive never given anything to Mythic before. I only use my Credit Card for MMORPG's, nothing else. I let noone other than myself use it. I have no idea how they got it.

    Any1 u know plays DAoC? Have u ever found ur self in the street and some1 behing u telling u u had dropped ur CC?

    Do they have a phone number? I suggest you look it up and call them. Don't bother with email, not for billing.

     A popular scam nowadays is when your waiting in line with your credit card, the person behind you "pretends" to be talking on the phone but he actually snaps a picture of your credit card with their camera phone and then enters stuff online.

     Anyways, I called Mythic before and it costed money to call them. I waited for about 15 minutes and hung up before I was billed even more money for just the phone call.

    And here I thought camera phones were only good for voyeurism.


    Same thing happened to me. I called Mythic and they said they did not know what was up but they refunded 60% of the money I paid them.

    Hiyas:

    If mythic billing department refuses to give you full amount back to you, simply report it as fraud to your credit card company, and dispute the charge. You won't have to pay anything and they will hopefully hunt the person down who utilized your number. Good luck.

    Call your CC company and tell them to do a charge back.Dispute the charges.If you never played or purchased it should not be a problem.
