I'll bet my money on the IW devs not being totally innocent in all this. Everyone loves to hate on the big bad wolf but I really doubt Activision would over look such a large amount being paid off. I also reckon them two heads of IW were probably trying to start up a new studio and wanted to take aload of IW with them and that's why they were fired. IW clearly stated over the years that they hate Activision for whoring out their franchise, so I know what I'd do if I was IW.

That is quite possible, but that doesn't give a company the right to withhold agreed upon monies and bonuses.

It must be pretty bad working for Activision if 38 other IW employees quit and leave and follow the heads of IW, and on Activision's part not paying said bonuses and royalties looks really bad on their part as well I guess Kotick needed the bonus money to pay for hookers and coke. I cheering for the former IW employees and wish they get what they deserve and stick it to Activision.

Well IW were the ones holdiong secret meetings with other publishers while being in contract with Activision.  And I am sure I read some place that the heads of IW wanted to without bonuses to their staff... now they want those bonuses?

Swings and roundabouts... we'll never hear the truth.

One would be inclined to believe that, if it wasn't for half the employees leaving IW to follow those former heads of IW. Would you follow somebody that withhold money from you, leaving a good paying spot in Activision to follow an unproven company with an unproven future?

    Think about it.

Sounds like Modern Warfare 3 is going to suck!  Not that I enjoyed the others.

I would sooner believe the employees than the managment. Reading and seeing what Activision does I can imagine that for 75 million they would do everything in their power to not have to give the money. It's already obvious they are greedy so why not? From milking the custumors to depriving the employees is a very small step.

This is also why greed in the long term will not succeed in business, short term you will earn in a lot of money but for th elong term you will have screwed so many over that it's not possible to earn shit.

MW3 will probably not be the success MW2 was...their next FPS project whatever is may be will have so much scrutiny it may fail and it would not even matter if it was a great game. It's about loyality from employee and customer you lose one or both and you will have it tough.

If they keep this path they walk they will end nowhere.

Ive said in the other topic.

With the bonus money employees would be able to make their own companies/games and become competitors.

Thats why they got their heads cut off before the inevitable.

Oh I do hope they win,  but something tells me they're just going to get stomped out...image

It is my opinion, that your opinion is incorrect.

both are probably to blame, as we can see what Activision is doing with WoW, but that doesn't give them the excuse to not pay people for work done or contracted.
