Upgrading for MMOs
In my office i use two computers:
1. Dell Latitude D630 (T9300@2.5G, 2GB of RAM, Nvidia Quadro NVS135M)
2. Dell GX 620T (Pentium D 3.0G (2x 1.5), 4GB of RAM, no external GPU)
My coworker is using second and playing Aion. First is clearly my laptop, but now...
I want to play DFO. Playing it on laptop is epic failure. I'm spending cash on my apartament now so i wish to spent as low as possible for computers.
So i'm looking for fair GPU for Dell GX620T. Will be nVidia GTS250 ok for it or my CPU is too slow and i need to buy whole new PC? These computers will be used only for MMOs, as i'm using my PS3 for single player games. Now i'm looking for some technical advice.
MMOs of interest:
- Aion (GF is playing it, i already quit)
- DFO
- Mortal Online
- Star Wars The Old Republic

A Pentium D is a little rough for playing modern games. To be honest, you would bottleneck a Geforce GTS250 (and you'd probably evevn bottleneck a GT240 on that thing).
Games certainly would be playable on that machine, but don't expect stellar performance.
New machine.
