Pre ordered APB, when do you get the beta invite?

in APB: Reloaded

I preordered APB and it says I get pre order beta access.  Any idea when they'll allow the pre order folks to check the game out?

    I saw "early access" in the list of stuff you get, but not beta access.  I would assume "early access" would be a couple of days or so before everyone is let in.  Or maybe I missed something?

    Go to the EA store it says pre order beta access.

    EA does say they offer beta access for preorders, http://eastore.ea.com/store/ea/en_US/html/pbPage.APB_Preorder?resid=S@A7EQoBAkgAAFmntjQAAAAq&rests=1272987036993 but if you try to preorder from the APB store, they send you an e-mail stating that they will contact you when preorders begin. As far as I know, the developers have not been allowing preorders yet. EA will still take your money now though. Hopefully once they actually start allowing pre orders you will get into the Open Beta. It's still in Closed Beta right now though.

    Pre-order will let you get into the 1 week prior to launch. Saying that it will allow you to get into beta is kind on wrong though not totally wrong. As I guess prior to launch is technically beta, though only just!

    The EA store seems to allow preorders right now.  Other retailers also allow preorders but I didn't see anything about beta in their descriptions.

    So would it be best to wait until I get an e-mail from APB before I pre-oreder?

    Does the APB store give you something different than the EA Store?  When my husband and I both decide to play the same game, we usually buy one game and get the physical box and I'll usually go ahead and get mine via download.  Keeps space on the shelves!  I've already pre-ordered from the EA Store for the download, is there a reason to order the other from the APB store?  Is there a difference in the pre-order give aways?  (besides the promise of an email later) 

     

    Also I noticed that this little blurb on my receipt:

    Anticipated Released Date: June 9, 2010

    I'm guessing that's the pre-order beta date.  The date on the actual game is still June 29.

    Yeah, it seems they are going to send out the pre-order keys on June 9th. It clearly says early access AND beta access. So by ordering at the EA Store you DO get beta access... its just not instant.

    So... Pro-ordered to, but I already had closed beta acces.

    If you guys just signed up for that, or went to fileplanet or something when they were giving away keys,

    you would have had acces already ^^

    To bad you have to wait a week to test for about 4 hours.......

    I haven't looked, but I bought directly from EA a couple of times before and it was digital download only.

    There are 2 different entries listed under platform. One is for a boxed copy and the other is for download only.

    APB is CLOSED BETA at the moment. (restricted access)


    Any access to beta would probably be OPEN BETA just before they are ready for launch.

    According to swedish Webhallen.com the pre-order gives you access to Beta which has a preliminary start date of 10th June.

     

    So I'll guess the keys will be sent out a few days a head of 10th june.

    That's not beta, but the Key to the City program. It allows you unlimited social district time with 5 hours of play in the action zones from June 10th to 19th. Your data will carry over to the headstart, then release.
