I disagree. Titans make dreads obsolete. More EHP, can't be DD'd easily, same dps and you don't have to commit to the fight and you can't be tackled easily. And as another bonus, you're even much more efficient against Battleships. Dito for Moms, they're now officially the new carriers. You only need carriers to repair outposts/pos/ihubs. That's the only role Moms can't do better.
dont use related kill link is stupid Battle Summary for H-W9TY, 2010-05-13 08:00 - 15:45 there is a 8h time covered by that link
The reason it covers 8 hours worth of time was that they were effectively camped for the past 2-3 days and never coordinated a proper log in to fight allowing us to kill of individuals that log on in our system. I'd prefer a much more narrower battle but I don't think it was happening anytime soon.

Dreads can be insured, and they're a hugely lower skillpoint commitment, and they can be docked. They still retain considerable gameplay advantages.
BTW just in case anyone is in any doubt, the NC has substantially "out-generalled" their opposition. Their logistics, organisation and comms have been superior.
I'm not going to get in a "we fight better"/"they fight better" because both coalitions have a significant component of terrible idiots, as well as plenty of excellent pilots. I'm sure Batolomeus has been exasperated with his allies plenty of times in the last 6 months, just as I have with ours. All I will say is that I am very happy (and also rather proud) to be in The Initiative, and that we're happy for this war to continue for a good long time yet. I hope the gentlemen of the NC are having as much fun fighting us as we are them.
EDIT: And I hope Imperian is rather regretting stealing our moons
Tbh., the war has disappointed me. Mostly because of server performance. I had a crapton of fun during the siege of I1y, 49- and the whole southern campaign in general, but the recent lagfest was meh. It really sucks having all reps stuck on my guardians and just seeing people die who i can't help at all (or can't see at all)
Btw., i'm rather pleased that Init kept their shitposters at bay. Fighting Init is much more enjoyable than Rol/Tri/It.
But as long as half of my playtime looks like this i'd rather play supreme commander.
Luckily, since we're merely insignificant IT er Atlas wait I mean -A- pets, we in INIT were excused attending the H-W op. It seems someone got the idea we were rather good at hitting POS for somewhere so we got that job instead. So the campaign hasn't been excessively laggy for us.
The further you are from molles strategizing the better to be honest. I'm still amazed at how the five Moms died..Rol/Init seem to be doing a good job by themselves already..although Wn is still better than you at it, they're pretty persistent buggers. :P
Indeed, NC missed the hotdrop because they formed up too late, but since the cyno route was known, PL could form up. They managed to bump a ragnarok into forcefield, so they only got the avatar..
---------- We were plexing in N-H in Vale of the Silent. We saw the red frigate gang and most of us are FCs taking a break from 'da war, and we commented on how much we hate stupid roaming frigate gangs because they're so hard to kill and not much fun to try, unless you have like, smart bombs or old-style doomsday. But they're great to fly in because they kill the weak and the lazy.
So we're doing this plex and we noticed a dramiel drops core scanner probes. They're looking for us. He stays in system, the other 30 guys hit the rest of the constellation and get a few kills.
The dramiel warps in on us, we engage him with drones, he logs off. Quickly, however, he logs back in, their gang starts jumping into system and soon landing in the first room. And I'm on comms saying, "Wait guys, wait wait wait..." We are a domi, a hyperion, and two guardians. ------------------
Warning: As soon as you destroy the EM Forcefield surrounding the Acceleration gate, a Thermal Smartbomb attack will be triggered. The smartbomb will do 6000 points of Thermal damage. This smartbomb can be avoided by attacking the EM Forcefield over 60km away.
