New player wanting to join!!

lkc673lkc673 Member Posts: 149

I would like to join the game but need to know few things.

Which server is the most populated? i went to the game site and it says Nagafen is the most populated with 170000 players?? is it true?

Is there a unofficial oceanic server as well? because im from australia.

Would it be hard to find groups to explore the world in low levels?

I like to do pvp also but im pretty sure this game is focus on pve?

Is the end game like in WOW where everyone is on and looking to raid?

Which is over populated? so i can avoid that and roll a more needed class to play with.

Thank you for your help guys hopefully i will these answers ASAP so i can decide if i want to join the game or not.

Antonia Bayle and Crushbone are 2 most populated PvE servers, Nagafen the PvP one is higly poulated too but I would not recommend anyone to start their first toon on Naggy . Najena is the unofficial pacific server and I would recommend you to start there as you will have the easiest time finding a guild and people on your playtime. The server numbers are the accounts that had created toons on that server so it is only a very rough guildline on how many players there actually is. Both  AB and CB servers have problems with overpopulation and server lag.

Go to the official SoE forums and check out  the server forums for Najena.

Well any class except Shadowknight is needed really, But make some toons of different classes and play them a bit start on different servers then delete the classes you do not like.

End game is raiding but it can be hard to get into the raiding guilds (at least on AB) but there is lots of other things to do, you have a mentoring system and you can even scale down your level to do things you did not do before.

    Have Fun

Greetings to all of you that wish to try EQ2.

I have about 17 Recuit-A-Friend key left, So if any of you need one just ask and I'll send the key as soon as possible.

I play on Antonia Bayle wich is always full during any time of the day.  (Never had probleme with grouping)

And yes this game is mainly PvE but you can go on a PvP Server (Wich I Don't recommand) or you can do like me and wait for level 90 to enter the New Battleground wich will be good doze of PvP

I hope to see you all ingame sometime soon. !!!

AB  = Antonia Bayle, CB= Crushbone

According to what the people from Najena states on the najena server board it is still the best server for Aussie players, there is even one thread where one person is considering transfering to Najena from AB, but as i said roll some toons on different servers and see.

As for raiding it depends I personally think it is hard to get into raiding on AB server, huge population so there is really no reason for the raidguilds to help new raiders and several of the family guilds have been hard hit by guild hoppers so they do not recruit much anymore, it may be different in other places. But there is still a ton of stuff to do and it will take some time to 90 for you anyway so do not worry about that.
