    I've been waiting eagerly for this. I'm sure they went with Ultramarines because they're a nice 'introduction' protaganist. It's the same reason they're sort of the Space Marine poster child, they're a good point to draw people in and give them a reference.

    I'm a huge 40k fan and can't believe that I didn't know about this...Ultramarines are a good introduction, though I'd love to see something with the Black Templars as well, they don't get enough love.

     

    Glad to see they are going with computer graphics rather than live action...I can't even imagine how silly actual people would look in properly proportioned Space Marine armor...It'll be really cool to see some of the characters that I've actually used in games in this movie...Marneus Calgar anyone?

    That's a cutscene from Final Liberation, an old 40k game based on the Epic system. Some of the costumes were really not that bad, but the power armor just looks wrong on a normal human being. And the animatronic orks were something out of Jim Henson meets da Waaaagh.

    That actually doesn't look as bad as I thought it would...Though I'm pretty sure that the space marine should be about a foot taller and a hell of a lot bigger...given that they are bigger and better in every way than normal humans, and commisars are not space marines.
