Seven77Seven77 Member Posts: 38

Hi guys after being disappointed by a string of games. I've been in MMO hibernation and have just peeked my head out to see whatever happend to the planned, DAOC classic and If it's been finished, can I try it out? etc. etc. Thanks!

Mythic kept delaying it, saying that "man, we didn't expect this much interest, we're going to take our time and make sure that we get it right".

So they kept delaying, until Warhammer caved in, and all staff was shuffled over to that, so Mark Jacobs made some BS excuse about there wasn't enough interest in the project, so its shelved, and then Jacobs got fired. They may still be working on it, but its pretty much vaporware, now that Mythic doesn't really exist anymore.

There is a private classic DAOC server out there that has a daily peak pop of 800-1000. Not allowed on these forums to give the info on it, but if you do a search you should find it. I highly suggest you look it up.

    Currently Playing: DAOC Uthgard

Previously Played: UO, DAOC, Shadowbane, AC2, SWG, Horizons, COX, WOW, EQ2, LOTRO, AOC, WAR, Vanguard, Rift, SWTOR, ESO, GW2.

Its as close to real DAoC as you're ever gonna get,, it even has the classic archery system, which the classic project wasn't going to have.
