Do you people in EA not understand marketing? Image in the marketplace? Amazing! First year business major classes. Perhaps a seminar on basic business theory.

Vote with your money! The only way to get these losers attention is to hit them in the wallet.

Except that the people that this affects are not EA's customers.

yea whats the point of buying a used game for a 5-10 dollar discount if you have to pay 10 to activate online might as well buy new or wait along time till used price drops alot lol

its lame also because rentals are affected too so your stuck with praying you like the online gameplay and it isnt a bug/glitchfest from new purchase

They probably cover those server costs as long as each person using their servers pays for a new $60 game. But for heavily traded used games where each second hand owner plays on their servers, it's going to cost them more per user in the long run since they don't get a dime from the second hand owners.

It costs them more per user, but not more per box, as it makes no difference to them who is using the game.

Sucks to be you then, meanwhile us real gamers will be enjoying all the great games EA brings out.

Oh, how that witty retort stings! I don't think I can muster the nerve to reply. Oh, wait, yes I can.

Sucks to be you; someone so small and narrow minded that he cannot imagine gaming without EA.

EA has some good games, which generally come from their acquired studios (BioWare, for instance), and rarely from EA proper. However, they hardly have so many that their absence makes gaming as a whole "suck." Nice try, anyway.

BioWare is about the only EA affiliated studio from which I will still purchase games. Even then, I do it rarely.
