For the longest time I thought Shobu was the most idiotic person on MMORPG. After reading Plague's thread I think he's giving Shobu a fight for his title. Get a life you idiots. Do you really have nothing to do but try to hype up WoW and degrade EQ2? Just because EQ2 is so much higher than WoW doesn't give you a reason to lower EQ2 to WoW's standards. (Heh that will get some flames!!!

I used to come to MMORPG lookin' for a good conversation, see what's new with the community at mmorpg, check on what's new with EQ2, but I've realized those days are far over. There's just an overflow of WoW morons who make multiple accounts and post several times on different names degrading EQ2 making WoW vs. EQ2 threads. It's just ridiculous. You can't really blame them I guess. I mean they have no lives. No intellect. No maturity. Hell if the rest of us were that stupid we would be doing it also. I think in part it should be blamed on the admins. There's a fine line between honest negative reviews of any game and just idiotic bashing and stupidity. Plague's thread for example. One word BAN? En1gma have you seen his thread. I mean get real. I think that kinda stupidity should be banned way before offensive language. People like him need to be weeded out from the rest. Maybe it's me that's being to blunt. But I dunno, I'm just not satisfied with how MMORPG.com is tolerating with this big issue. Anyone know of any other forums that does not have as many morons? Post a link...

The fact that you need to sidestep my comments on EQ2 and attack me personally highlights the fact that since you're you're incapable of formulating a counterargument you'll grab at whatever you can to desperately nullify my opinions.

all i have to say is WoW fanboi's sicken me... i WAS (before Open Beta) a WoW fan in every sense of the word, but after getting a taste of what kind of idiots i would be playing with, i have decided not to buy it...
now keep in mind that EQ2 fanbois are bad too, but nowhere NEAR what the WoW fanbois are...EQ2 fanboi's irratate to a point but it's never so much as to really bug you too much... WOW fanbois on the other hand have litterally got me physically angry reading some of the bullshit they go on about...

I said that would get some flames because you WoW fanbois will be sniffing out every EQ2 thread and looking for things to bash. Some WoW fanboi will stumble across my comment and decide to flame. I'm stating that from my comment a flame will come undoubtably because of WoW fanbois. Anything remotely or what looks like a negative thing about WoW will be replied with a bash. I agree, Peeler. Your review of the WoW beta was perfectly reasonable, but you got flamed for it. The fanbois thought you were trying to sabotage the game. Look at the game list reviews for EQII.

You could have an intelligent (note how I can spell the word "intelligent" and you can't... I think that says a lot) forum if you'd allow people to criticize your "holy grail" of a game. If EQ2 can't stand up to criticism, just admit it, accept it, and move on. It's ok... You're allowed to like shitty games if that's what you're into.

Oh that must be a sign of defeat. Before you leave you never answered my question. Why are you in EQ2 forums??? And during that gaining exp and killing monsters I'll be having fun doing that. And what does WoW have that EQ2 doesn't? PVP? That's fine. EQ2 will implement PVP in the future. Meanwhile I can do the many quests and content it has to offer. Unlike WoW with their 2 races and 3 classes and 4 quests. Guarantee there will be someone max leveled before the end of the first week... Maybe first couple days?

I love EQ2 im just tired of people leaving EQ2 for WoW because its a 'fun' game to play. WHo needs 'fun' anyways when you got a community, graphics and grind?

Wow, I'm with Shobu 100% on this, You don't even present any valid arguments other than personal attacks against him and random unjustified attacks against WoW. Shobu played in the last days of the Beta so it was the final version of the game, he found it boring and uninspiring and he's entitled to his opinions about it. You can already see many threads popping out about people getting bored of EQ2, while I know that many EQ2 fanboys will keep enjoying the game for a long, long time, it is hardly a good sign to see so many complaints only a few weeks after the game's release.
I personally don't understand why people argue and argue and argue this topic,over and over and over. They are GAMES, is anyone going to care if WoW "pwns" EQ2 or vice versa a year from now? I highly doubt it. In " RL" most people could honestly care less about such trivial things. They have bigger responsibilities and better things to worry about.........like rent, bills, utilities. I am not trying to belittle or be rude toward anyone. I am just saying........... for the love of all that is holy, can we please stop these silly threads already?

I'm sorry to hear that was your experience in WoW. What server were you on (guessing you were ST/OB only)? I can say that on the closed side about 80%+ of the players were very respectful and good people to play with. OB I would drop that to about 65-70%, but once retail hits and it isn't free anymore, then we will really know how it ended up as (as this will change from server to server).
However, anyone going to the supposed Archimonde server will probably have a lot of...."undesirables". If you want a reason why, ask and I'll post in the WoW forums about it.
