Frozen account, stupid reply from Funcom

I preordered RoTGS but as money is a bit short atm my payment for it failed, so I understand I cannot play RoTGS atm, but....

 

Funcom has taken my monthly subscription for the month so why is my game account frozen? surely as I have paid my subs for regular AoC I should still be able to play that?

 

I emailed FC and basicly the response was, pay for RoTGS and we will unfreeze your account.

 

Does this seem right?

 

Also because my account is frozen I cannot post on the official forum either

Preorder from website unlocked certain claims with the expansion even before it was charged. It was charged 7 days prior to release. You defaulted on your payment you agreed on. They already gave you the claims that come with the preorder (even before it was charged).

I am sorry cash is tight, but you can't really fault Funcom. You should have contacted them BEFORE the charge failed. To stop it.

Yes i can understand that Evil, but why take the monthly fee?

The expansion was my last ditch to get back into conan, I guess if you are right, which I think you are, then I will call it quits then.

It was a scheduled payment. Payment happens when it is scheduled. One went through, other failed.

Next time just stop it before it attempts to go through. Things would have gone much smoother for you.

At least now you know and can learn from it, and not make that same mistake again.

Another person here just had the exact same problem. AFAIK, they called Funcom and got it sorted out in about 15 minutes. Just call them during business hours and explain the situation, chances are the email they sent was just a canned response anyway.

Now, if after you talk to a live person they still won't reactivate the account, then feel free to bash them all you want. Until then, just take a deep breath, and count to 10 before raging. Also, this should probably be on their support forums.

Unless of course this is just an attempt at trolling (which I'm not ruling out).

My account is frozen as well due to not paying for RoTGs after PreO, fully open sub that wont end till the 30th, live support is cut off and no way of gameplay. This my  people is the punishment from Funcom on Preo and dont pay subs lmao. See I know I fucup with Funcom by preoing the xpax and not paying for it on that day of release, funcom is very angry at me and many others because it was "THE BIG DAY EVENT OF THE BEST XPAC EVER TO COME" and they hate the fact that we preoders miss out on the first day! So.... I sent them an email asking about away around this situation and my reply was....

There are two ways this can be handled:



1) The failed payments can be removed from your account.  However, this

will also require the removal of the expansion information from your

account.



2) If you believe the initially-submitted form of payment will process

now, we can try to resubmit the payment.  This option would take a

longer period of time.



Please select the option you wish to utilize.

 

NUMBER 1 and waiting. I will never ever ever do another Preo again with any game because you just never know when sh!t just pops up on the CC

Mine is frozen too because the payment failed. Wrote Funcom who said my bank needed to unblock payments to Norway, I did that and the payment still fails. So I dont know where the problem is, but am waiting to hear back from Funcom. I would happily pay by paypal if they accepted it. But they dont. Funny, i paid them with the same CC a few months ago, and had no problems. So maybe Funcom is the problem.

Interestingly I have no problem paying Darkfalls company in Greece even though the country went bankrupt and everyone shot all the bankers. Or CCP in Iceland which has volcanoes and also bank problems.

Contact your CC company and or your bank again sounds like they are screwing up the process, Funcom just charges you it's up to your CC company and or bank to make sure the charge goes through

Yep, my bank worked it out. Im good now. I just wish funcom took paypayl as ill have the same problem next month. Maybe Ill try a prepaid visa.

I think you can use Paypal with the pay-by-cash method. Use paypal to fill your cash account, then use that to pay your AOC sub.
