yep, expecting it to become my "Lineage2 spiritual succesor" but as i read thought official forums i keep loosing the hype as it keep getting away of what made L2 fun.
now: GW2 (11 80s). Dark Souls 2. future: Mount&Blade 2 BannerLord. "Bro, do your even fractal?" Recommends: Guild Wars 2, Dark Souls, Mount&Blade: Warband, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
I am looking forward to getting a lot more information. They are saying sub model now however if the words F2P and item mall ever comes into this then I will have 0 interest in this game.
Many of us have been burned to many times over the last 5-7 years really look forward or get excited about anything. I will follow the game development but that is about it for me and that is for any MMO.

Q: What is TERA's payment model?
A: The payment model will be a retail box product with a monthly subscription. Costs of both are not yet determined.

Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
So far the graphics and the combat are what is keeping me interested in the game at the moment. Plus I think I would enjoy a more pvp centric game than the past MMO's I have played. The whole any race can be any class is a plus too. Though honestly there is still quite a bit more information I need, crafting, guild setup, soloing vrs grouping type mechanics that I need to learn yet indorder to give a definate yay or nay on the matter.
This is the only upcomming MMO that look really good so yes I am looking foward to it. I will probaly be playing Tera as my main mmo with Guild Wars 2 on the side. That is till Lineage 3 comes out.
Definitely gonna purchase this game to give it a try. The gameplay and graphics alone are worth a shot in my opinion from all I have seen. Plus, the classes look pretty interesting with some pretty cool races available. I am ready to go on this one for sure
I heard about this game in another thread about production costs so came to check it out. The graphics are indeed quite pretty...but then I saw the stiletto heels on the female archer; no thanks. Thats the lamest shit I ever seen. Well...except for that ad where the androgenous fan guy is all like, "You won't think my fan is so pretty once I start beating you with it." ...THAT's the lamest shit I've ever seen lately.
UO,AC1&2,EQ1&2,DAOC,SB,SWG,FFXI, Horizons,EvE,E&B,AO,WoW,VG, Lineage,GW,TR,LotR,AoC,CoH,DDO a myriad of FtP...and still looking...
This game use target hit mechanic.. that't ain't next gen LOL
well, it seems clear to me that there are two ways to target.
One is where you tab to your enemy and the other is where you aim in their direction and fire and hope you hit them.
I'm usually an outside the box thinker but I have to tell you other than those two methods, the latter being what is used in Tera, I don't really see any other system that would work that would fit into a fantasy based game.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
Not sure sure how this one pulled ahead of Blade&Soul for combat style. It looks interesting but the non scripted in game with the UI portions look pretty standard MMO combat to me.
I don't know why, but for some reason everytime I look at this game, I think Aion.. I don't care much for Aion (aside from the small group of people I play with).. So unless for some reason everybody I know migrates to Tera, doubt I will.
I agree w/ the earlier post, swing to hit like in AoC and DF is the way to go for future games, though I think it might be a while before we really see that take off. Looks like the big ones on the horizon are all tab-target select type..

That's probably because there is not a lot of info coming out for blade and soul and this game is aready in closed beta and they seem to be active on their forums.
I'm not sure how the combat is standard as it is not tab targeting. As I mentioned above I'm not sure what other way one would do it as "in the real world" one aims at what one wants to hit and you hope to hit it".
Same in this game.

I don't think people are digging Tera because it uses AoC's frontal hit dice roll thingy. I think its the Street Fighter 4 combat style seen in the promos but that style isn't seen in the PC view point with UI portions. Guess what I'm getting at is, L2 videos made the game look fantastic, but in game very little of what you saw in the teaser videos existed.
Not really looking forward to this title. I have other games that I am more excited about. If, however, I hear good things after release, I may check it out. For right now, not on my radar of games I'm excited to be released.
This game is also swing to hit. Each button press will give you a swing of your weapon. There was a video demonstrating this so I will try to find it and post it later. Also AOC and Darkfall are lame and not next gen in any way possible. There is a reason why nobody plays those games.

Game reminds me of Aion from the above poster as well. I loved OB, CB, and the first 30 levels of Aion...and yeah not going to repeat my thoughts past that on this thread. With that said, this game may be just what I thought Aion was supposed to be, therefor I am interested and will keep my eyes out for it and how it delivers.
I don't like action based RPG's, I like action games with RPG elements.
If someone made a game where you had to punch a controller as hard as you could to simulate the force of your warriors impact, would you play it? Why should I be required to have the agility of a rogue in order to play one? Twitch based RPGs are utterly pointless IMO.

Not really....
Yea, but i m afraid it will be just another grind fest

Yes.
I want to try out the combat style in the game.

now i really don't understand why this game is being to hyped..
This game use target hit mechanic.. that't ain't next gen LOL
The future is in swing hit like AOC and darkfall..
Maybe the game being so hyped because of the grahics...
Free tip: if you want grafhics go play single players games..
Peace out..
