Did you try to launch the game directly, and not using station launcher?
I don't have any exes to launch the game directly because it haven't installed them yet. The error comes before the launcher installs the exe I think.
VGClient.exe is in: "Vanguardin" folder, too bad it doesn't update your game, it goes in game, but you can't even select your character, there is window whic is saying connecting, but nothing happens ...

And YES, I did run as administrator.
I don't have the exe.. maybe because I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the game. You still probably have the .exe of the trial version or something?
EDIT: has anyone checked for that UEA_ettercap_M_advn.uea.gz file? Even telling us it's not there would help a little, so we would at least know that we can't get it from other players.
I can check when I go home to eat lunch around 12 PM est time. Once I get home I will check, upload to my ftp server if it is there, and send you a link to download and see if that fixed the problem. If it does then good luck in VG and if not call tech support

About their tech support, live chat support is on 10AM-7PM PST or PDT.
And also, no need to check anymore. I added player on xfire and asked and she didn't have lp_temp folder, but like the name says it's probably temporary

Yeah, its definitely, from what I gather, an issue from yesterdays patch. I think before anyone gets all up in arms people should just be patient for a bit until SOE Support comes online.
Keep in mind that these guys are PST and so their timezone is really far back. -3 hours for me, but since you're in Finland, -10 or so hours for you. I have heard horror stories of SOE support, but let me tell ya, I have contacted them more then a few times and every time, my request or problem gets solved.
I don't think that SOE spends a lot of time on their support forums to be quite perfectly honest with you. I think that contacting them directly will get you better results.
So, its about two and a half hours till support opens up. When support opens, just go on their live support chat, explain the issue and I'm sure they will be able to help.

Read previous posts. SoE fucked up with yesterdays patch. If you installed game before it works OK, if you try to install game today it doesn't.
If you would read previous posts, you would see that we tried to do alot of things including several installs on different OS: WinXP, Vista, 7, I tried to connect without firewall and anti virus software, I tried to install from Admin account in W7. It's always same problem with SAME file.
