Hey all, I haven't played AOC in about half a year, getting back into it now.
- I noticed that with my level 60 Ranger when I manage to kill level 70 - 80 characters, I only get 75 PVP XP or something? I think I remember it used to being exactly double that for a max kill. 150 PVP XP or so.
- I heard that they changed it so you can only get higher PVP XP at level 80, killing 80's. If this is true, how does one get 150 PVP XP then at 80? Being like PVP level 2 and killing a PVP level 6?
- I also heard they reduced the overall XP cost to move up in the levels.
Would just like some insight into this, thanks to anyone for assistance.

I can't answer your specisfic question (but I am sure someone else can) as I mostly do minigames. I can say a few words about the mingames though. FC raised PvP XP for minigames a lot. There is much more in it for you running around with that flag and goind for the win instead of just killing the other team senseless .

Question: I used to be able to solo pvp in AOC. World pvp, sometimes minis, etc, but my main interest was always world/field pvp. I see since much PVP takes place in Bori now, is it possible at all to solo in Bori or is a solo player just going to get ran off by a larger group 100% of the time?
If I remember correct they changed the system so that the higher level you get the better PvP xp per kill. They also have a system that when you kill your enemy one you get max xp, if you kill him twice in short amount of time you get less xp and so on, when you have killed him 5 times you get little or no xp if I remember correct.
Bori is the most effective way to farm PvP xp by far that is true. However it also depends on which server you play. If you play on a empty server Bori is insanely effective as you can use the system pretty much as a solo player. However on the more active servers a solo player would struggle to be able to use the altars in peace.
Funcom made one mistake with Bori imo, and that was making it into a PvE grind for PvP xp. Why they did that I have no idea, but some servers pretty much just shares the spawns rather then fighbting over it which was the idea. And when sharing there is little/no pvp and people can gain tokens and xp relatively safe without too much hassle. However that is very much server specifics as Fury EU server if you try as a solo player prime time to harvest you will get killed. by the guild/alliance that controls the area at that given time. Or the people who roam around to pick off people that are running towards the altar to sacrifice.
World pvp still exists and so do minigames but world pvp is the least effective way of gaining pvp xp fast, minigames are better and bori can be the fastest depending if you are able to sacrufice to the altar.
The new expansion brought back a ton of world PVP. AoC is going in a very nice direction. Shrines is just another OPTION to get PVP exp.
You are correct that the shrines is just anpther option for gaining xp, however under the perfect conditions the bori shrines is the fastest and most effective way of gaining it. However it has to be optimal conditions/server to be able to use it that way.
I would higly doubt that. I am a PvP Minigamer, and a guild can certainly krank out a ton of PvP XP points there as well. Again I have not played shrines of Bori very much but I have been in the borderlands and had a look on the setup. Looks neat enough, but minigames you can play much more in a day. I have some very experienced PvP people in my guild and they are exclusively almost PvP leveling through minigames. There is a reason I would believe. So i am not entirely sure you are right about how Bori blows everything else of the field.

Bori is really just the fastest way of gaining xp IF you are on a empty server and can use it all day long, If you are on a populated server it will be slow. Hence the reason why I say it's the fastest if you have the optimal conditions. On Fury I'm sure the best way for any normal PvP player is to do minigames, it's a steady flow of xp and you don't have to worry about being ganked and loose all resources gathered etc. However the flow of PvP xp that has been reported from bori farming is quite sick unless they have done anything to fix that lately.
