Hello!
My favourite MMO was Perfect World, but after spending a lot time with it I decided to move on.
I really enjoyed good graphics & style. In my opinion it really was perfect...
Anyways these days when tried many MMOs after this one and none of these gained my recpect I tried to return to PW in International version... And to my dissappointment I discovered changes in Item Mall politics... It seems You can "buy" level in this game... (It comes to that with these Oracle book quests...) So it's pointless...
Just to mention:
I tried Allods Online - it was suppoused to be really the best of the best f2p... For me? Just crap. Boring as hell. Spent there many hours, and that's it, MAYBE it get's better in end-game stage, but till u get there You'll get bored. It seems to me this way.
Runes of Magic - Tried this one a while back, I've heard that there's new chapter or so - maybe it evolved. but for me it wasn't so much fun. At first I was dissappointed with graphics, far worse than Perfect World, not much to say about gameplay cuz I removed this game from my HDD after playing 1-2 hrs... Is it worth to try this again?
DDO - fun for a week or so, but gets boring and it's far from "just stepping in" for one quest or so... Party based.
These were my lately experiments, some time ago I also played L2 which was pretty cool, but I want f2p now, also spent some time in Requiem which was fun at first, but I didn't find myself there. Rohan Online wasn't that bad, but graphics and empty world made my sick.
Hard case... Can You help?
Kind regards,
T.

Anarchy Online.
Tried Guild Wars?
Really good graphics. There is a lot of grouping, but Nightfall introduced 'Heroes' you can control. Basically, you can control up to four characters at once or control one mainly and run AI.
It does have a lobby/dungeon system sorta like DDO, though most of the instanced maps are open-world areas.
You have to buy the game but then it is free to play. there are different expansions and stuff, but don't buy the 'unlock skill packs or anything' just get the 3 or 4 chapters and you can unlock everything by playing (which is part of the end game really anyway).
"Never met a pack of humans that were any different. Look at the idiots that get elected every couple of years. You really consider those guys more mature than us? The only difference between us and them is, when they gank some noobs and take their stuff, the noobs actually die." - Madimorga
If you like PvP (or even if you don't, I hated PvP before this game) try Fantasy Earth Zero. The cash shop just went live and it's really all cosmetic. Anything not can be bough with in game currency as well. The graphics are dated but the gameplay isn't. It's not auto-aim, 1,1,1,3,4, ect. You have to really dodge and jump and aim. It's mainly 50vs50 kingdom battles, now with a colosseum mode for 7v7 PvP and 3 person PvE.
I've played all the games you've listed there and many more. It's really different than anything out right now so give it a try!
Anarchy Online doesn't look too good from what I've seen on Youtube gameplay videos...
Guild Wars has it's time, but imho it's time to let it go.
and Fantasy Earth Zero doesn't look like a magnet-mmo which could suck me in for months, but I'll give it a try for sure.
Tbh: downloading it right now
but I'm waiting for more suggestions... Is there really nothing that good?
wait for vindictus online by nexon
there are hardly any mmo's out there worth trying in the f2p market, mostly ripoffs from other games like wow etc
Any clue when it's going to be released?
Vindictus? Last I checked it was supposed to be coming this fall.
Oh, and in reguards to your DDO comment, do I understand the only problem was that you just jump in for short periods of time?
If that's true check out Return of Warrior, it has the exact same feel and controls as DDO, but has a completly open world to grind in like every other mmo, also has 2 war factions and PvP between them fairly often.

Tried Spellborn?
Check my post about it Here
Man up and play a p2p MMO or get used to playing crappy games.
Well i only played f2p games for years. The ones which stood out were Perfect World (Which you mention), Cabal Online and somewhat Shaiya. There were others but there much older and fairly empty to my knowledge now. In fact most of the best free experiences were from the betas of games going to be p2p games after finishing beta, so perhaps you could try getting into an open or closed beta test.
Well if you're looking for an F2P MMO (note: this is an MMO not an MMORPG) I'll suggest Savage 2 definitely . This is a very rare game because it's the only truly free MMO imo because the advanced pack that you can buy offers no advantage to paying players, and is there for people who want to help the game . I also noticed that the reason why you were quitting games is because you were bored and I assure you this game is action packed and has great graphics and won't make you fall asleep while you watch your character grind on giant rats since you'll be doing all the fighting .It's similar to Dota but 3D , hack'n'slash ,with better graphics ,offers higher scale battles(the lowest setting is 20 players on one map) and no creeps .
Fantasy Earth Zero suprised me, I saw the graphics and gameplay videos. I almost looked past it, but I tried it since launch, and the large battles are addictive!
About Fantasy Earth Zero... I can't run it. After clickin' START nothing happens.
My DirectX and drivers are up-to-date... Also I run it as an administartor... Tried disabling UAC - fail... Any clues what to do?
well either your firewall is blocking it our your virus program is blocking it try turning them off and see what happens. also if you have a graphic card that doesnt support shader model 2 you cant play it so in other words your graphic card has to be made in the past 10-15 years. i'm sure it was so if turning off those things don't work check out FEZ support and post what happens if nothing there already with your specific prob some1 will reply to you in no time with a solution
It seems flagging this game as safe app isn't enough for COMODO Internet Security... I have to turn it off, start the game and then back it on. But hey, it works, so as soon as I get some free time I'm gonna try this one.
About Spellborn: can't even download it from Acclaim servers. If they can't even support their own game I doubt it's worth playin'.
So... Maybe someday I'll have to move on, and greet with p2p... Sad story, but might be the only way...
i did the same thing with RoM. played it when it was first released, quit, just re-downloaded it and it's pretty good. i think it's worth checking out.
