Well I tried to feed my mmorpg needs with Savage 2 and Battle Forge but I really need something from the RPG genre this summer. After trying the best of the worst in the mmorpg genre I gave up on em , but a lot of fuss was created about these two games on these forums and I would like to know why ?
What makes each of these games better than the rest since a lot of people are giving them thumbs up ,are they offering anything new in the F2P mmorpg genre ?!
Keep in mind that I want something with good graphics and less cash shop based ( by this I mean something where I can actually accomplish something even if I have no chance of competing with the Bulkers,Cash Shop users etc.)

Well the main reason those two games are popular is because they're a bit different from the usual korean ftp import. Most free to play games are really pay to win in the end (I've yet to play one that wasn't like that) so you're really better off playing some pay to play model game without the game breaking cash shop. From what I've heard, in both allods and runes of magic the cash shop is the only way to experience the end game content. In runes of magic you need to enchant(?) your gear properly for the end game instances as the mobs there can easily kill someone without upped gear.
In allods they have/had a death mechanic where a cash shop item could get rid of the death sickness, I believe they are removing it or have already removed it, not sure, but are replacing it with some new cash shop requirement for something else. I have only played allods and it has been a number of months since I last played so I haven't a clue what's changed there. I guess stick with what you're playing now if it's working for you, I'm looking for something very similar but have given up. Maybe it isn't possible to make a free to play game with only cosmetic items in the shop, reasonable leveling speed, moderate graphics and an interesting story, guess I'm just unrealistic in my expectations. Good luck in your search, though.
Oh well .... if you put it like that then I guess that these two games suck as well .... I really wanted to play an rpg this summer but I guess I'm gonna have to wait on something better ....
